Sorry Bartrim, another human has been cast...

Sophia Myles to Join Mark Wahlberg in Michael Bay's 'Transformers 4' (Exclusive) (TheWrap, 6/5/2013):

Director Michael Bay has tapped British actress Sophia Myles ("Underworld") for a major supporting role in Paramount's big-budget sequel "Transformers 4," TheWrap has learned.

    ...

While the studio is keeping her role under wraps, an individual familiar with the script has told TheWrap that Myles will play a scientist. She recently attended the Los Angeles premiere of Bay's "Pain & Gain."

    AND:

Exclusive : Gibson on Transformers 4 : ‘Looks like an appearance might happen’. (Moviehole, 6/05/2013):

Though the new Transformers film – the fourth in the series, headlined by Mark Wahlberg rather than Shia LaBeouf this time – will be largely with new cast and characters, director Michael Bay does seem intent on connecting the resequelboot to the previous three films – either by way of a storyline bridge or the odd cameo. One actor from the previous films we know is returning to do a turn is Josh Duhamel, who said recently his ‘Lennox’ will pop up in a cameo.

But what of Duhamel’s on-screen buddy and soldier colleague Epps, played by Tyrese Gibson?

Speaking at the UK junket for “Fast & Furious 6″, Gibson said while he hasn’t been signed to reprise his role he expects he’ll be involved in the same sort of capacity Duhamel will be.

“It’s looking like an appearance might happen”, the actor said, but stresses “I haven’t got that phone call yet, officially. We’ll see what happens.”

“Transformers 4″, due for release in a little over a year will star, aside from Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Kelsey Grammer, Jack Reynor and Stanley Tucci.

quite excited about Frasier, ahem, Kelsey Grammar making an appearance. Whilst I want to know more about the robots, I no longer place any joy in what Bay could reveal about them. I may slightly enjoy the movie if I place no hopes in it!

If you go in with no expectations you can't be disappointed, I think

Me too, I hope he has a role in the same proportion of what John Malkovich had in the previous movie. Of course not the same acting style though :P - Don't need him fisting up to Bee.

One would think so. But I've still gone into many things with no expectations and just sadly walked out or turned off. TF4 how ever, (or anything with giant robots belting each other) I'm sure we'll be safe if it's anything like the last three movies. Least in my mind anyway

A confirmation of earlier reports that Glenn Morshower (played two different people in the first three movies), won't be in the fourth one due to scheduling conflicts.
