Default Gen1 Season 5 Tommy Kennedy found and interviewed

One of the "holy grails" of the long-time fandom has been the child used in the fifth season live action scenes.

For those new, Season 5 was like the Generation 2 - a rehash of certain Gen1 episodes, with new bumpers to introduce and close the episodes. But unlike Gen2's computer-generated Cybernet Spacecube, Season 5 had live-action bumpers, featuring a 12 year old kid talking to Powermaster Optimus... which was a combination of a stop-motion model and a puppeteered statue.

Now for those who are keen on Transformers oddities, I'm sure this little loose end will be right up your alley.
A blogger who looked for Jason Jansen (the actor who played Tommy Kennedy) 15 months ago, was contacted recently by Jason (who found out about the article) and has posted up an interview here.

For those wanting to see what the Season 5 bumpers were, there is a youtube video here (it's 52 minutes).

The live action scenes were very interesting! But now I wanna see Megatron telling the story.

The interview with Jason was good, too.

Sure. Let's hear Megatron's countless stories of how he's failed, if they're still even in there.

Yeah failures, successes, whatever... I just wanna hear him tell his story. Besides, ultimate victory is never earned without its many failures along the way.
