If it makes the decision any easier, it appears that RK is sold out.
I would still try and track one down though. Who knows how difficult Soundwave will be to get a hold of when TRU does bring it out, or whether he'll have an acceptable paint scheme.
He'll probably retail for $149.99, so a $20 difference to get him 6 months earlier without any variables to worry about seems worth it to me.
He's about as big as Optimus, so I'm guessing around $150 retail which is what we got for Optimus, but he had a trailer, so you never know.
It really depends on if he's just the Takara version or not. If so, he'll be around the $200 mark.![]()
another question would be "will Hasbro include the other 4 cassettes?" Making him much more desireable and also allowing them to charge a higher value.
I think they'd have a hard time marketing the cassettes on their own here. potentially not bothering, unless they do include them with soundwave.
I'm hoping to get the Hasbro release, but in the mean time I'm tossing up as to whether i should pre-order the cassette pairs, just to make sure I have them.
Ummm, I kinda disagree on you with the MP cassettes there Ultramarginal. I think if you sell em off as a fourpack - or even the existing two pack the cassettrons would sell like hotcakes... although it will depend on pricing since these are of the same size as that of the G1 cassettes.
With any luck if they do the cassettes they'd skrimp on the packaging as usual but pricepoint would be the same as ever. Hoping for a 4 pack though. Or, they might surprise us with a ratbat.

Rodimus was around $100 here, IIRC. $20 isn't that much money anyway.
