That's 1994's "Combat Hero" Megatron, and it is an _excellent_ toy. Completely different mould from the 1993 green G2 Megatron -- smaller, but way better. Whereas 93 Megatron is a brick, Hero Megatron has a fully articulated/poseable robot mode (13 points of articulation off the top of my head).

1994/95 actually saw some really good toys coming out, as Hasbro experimented with making Transformers into proper articulated action figures. While it was Beast Wars that refined and popularised/standardised this concept, it did have its roots in later G2. It's a shame that by time these toys came along, G2 had brought Transformers to an all time low and a lot of these toys just shelfwarmed badly despite their awesomeness (I can still remember seeing mountains of Laser Optimus Primes languishing in stores ).

Hero Megatron is also an example of a Megatron toy that, IMHO, was better than its Optimus Prime counterpart (that doesn't often happen as HasTak usually engineers better Optimus Prime toys). Hero Prime is a nice toy, but IMO Megatron was better made. The way Prime's hose bends in such an awkward way irks me (unless you attach the pump upside down -- Megatron's pump attaches much better and gives you enough slack to move the toy around properly). Yes, the colours are weird and the orange pump itself is an eyesore, as are the massively oversized missiles (it works better on Laser Optimus Prime's trailer due to the larger scale), but overall it is one very impressive action figure that's just loaded with endless hours of fun play value! This mould was also used for G2 Archforce, Destructicon Bludgeon and Robot Masters Reverse Convoy (the latter 2 were never released here).

Just remember, attachments are to be restricted to the news sections, or important info.

Gotta love unexpected deliveries!!! My not-silverbolt from RK arrived thanks to the pre-CNY mail out, but I never got a shipping notice. He was also travelling with a full ark energon set, and the Zone candy former set

Don't know really? I might just hang on to it and try to find a replacement somewhere.
