Default Mech Ideas Longblast kit for RTS Jazz

Recieved this kit this week. I think it's an homage to alternators Shockwave (dont know much about that line sorry).

The kit arrived in this paper envelope....

...with a nice story on the back.

Inside was this - a sticker sheet, Longblast head and barrel and little Megatron and Shockwave guns that can be held by any figure with 5mm fist holes. I think these alone are worth getting the kit for. There's no map for the stickers. 95% of them are obvious, but there's two that I have no idea where to put.

Here he is after the stickers have been applied, but before I repainted the grill and put faction logo stickers on. Before putting the stickers on I used rubbing alcohol to take Jazz's racing stripes off.

Unfortunately the Jazz mold isn't too kind to stickers. One of the bonnet pieces was folded during transformation, and one of the door stickers (you can see it on the bottom left corner of the door hnge) was damaged during transformation. Of course it could be my own fault....

And here's robot mode. Now I could have painted the rest of Jazz purple, but there's lots of areas for paint rub and I don't need the aggravation. I think the stickers and new head set Longblast apart enough.

Forgot to mention, changing the head is just a matter of unscrewing Jazz's head, sliding it off the ball joint, then pushing Longblast's head on top.

Jazz's hand has a ball joint that fits into a socket on his hand. I found it hard to get this off, so I soaked it in just-boiled water for 2-3 minutes then was able to pull it off. The gun barrel has a ball joint that plugs into the socket.

It's a nod to the Alternators Shockblast toy. Actually looks quite interesting with the sticker doors.

It looks okayish for what it is, but really, it's not overly successful.

It's also a ripoff, I mean inspired by, the BotCon customising class Longarm.

So he's a heroic Decepticon disguised as an evil Autobot? Or is it opposite in the mirrorverse?

A bit of a niche idea but not my thing. The head sculpt is cool though so it would work for customizers.
