    Default G1 Devastator help needed

I got my Anime G1 Devastator today. I want to display it as Devastator. I had a really hard time getting Long Haul to slot into the leg kibble, and now that I've got all the other Constructicons in place Scrapper keeps coming apart from the leg kibble. Anyone have some advice on how to easily form Devastator and not have the thing fall apart on you?

Hmm... if you're coming to the next Sydney fan meet, maybe you can bring your Scrapper and Long Haul's vehicle weapon/Devastator's waist plate along and we can have a look during the post fair food court social.

That seems to be the problem with those molds nowadays. They seem to fall apart a lot.
Same goes for some Encore Bruticus sets.

Not sure myself, but you could always blu-tac 'em or something, if you feel the need to...

Sorry, I can't help more than that.

Such a shame these old molds are not what they used to be. I've got him together now, just crossing my fingers he stays together.

It's because moulds do degrade/deteriorate over time, especially when the moulds are used multiple times. What you have is the 6th use of the Constructicon moulds (previous being Diaclone Kensetsu Robo, 1985 G1, 1992 G1, G2 & 'standard' Encore). The Encore reissue wasn't fantastic (the sculpting wasn't as 'crisp' previous versions, and some parts didn't work as well, e.g. Long Haul's canopy doesn't lock in tight, Scavenger's feet fall out). So it wouldn't surprise me if the anime version would have even further mould degradation.

Even the original 1985 G1 Devastator was never the most stable of gestalts... but Scrapper should definitely lock in tightly into that waist plate.

I actually also have the first Encore release also, the mold has either degraded a lot or I got some pieces from a bad section of the mold. My normal Encore Devastator went together much easier. I thought I was doing something wrong putting him together, that's how hard it was to get him together.

My Anime Devastator was a bit fiddly and loose-ish too, but is holding together.
