Wow - that is a very detailed sketch!

Can you please clarify if this is an actual sketch (i.e. pencil on physical paper then scanned / freehand brush tool in image application) or whether you took the new Generations Springer toy images and then applied some kind of automated filter with possible layer perspective transforms via an image program such as Photoshop / GIMP?

I ask because the amount of detail combined with the 'fuzziness' gave me the impression that it was made into a sketch from actual photos, like the way these tutorials show you:

Yeah my friend asked me the same question. It's all hand-drawn.

The orginal sketch looks kinda busy with all the toy-accurate details as I was aiming for a pseudo box art look. Much better scanned and tweaked.

    that is really spectacular work.

how long did that take you?

Apart from not looking anywhere near as good, my first problem would be fitting it all on one page, I'd start in one corner and the scale would change without a doubt by the time I got even half way through.

That's wicked! And what a GREAT idea to redo G1 package art w/ Classicsverse toys! We should have a whole thread for that!

The photo looks good too though, as there's a bit more weight to the lines. Gives a better impression that with some inking and colouring this will be a very cool bit of at.
