Redeco TFPrime Weaponizers for Beast Hunters

Another one of the product reveals that Hasbro kept from BotCon, just to show off at SDCC was reworked Weaponizer figures. Not just in new colours and new weapons, but also with added sounds.

These two haven't had much attention because of the way they were unveiled, and being reworks of two toys that didn't appeal to many fans to begin with. But now there are some official images out, which might mean that they could be out in a few months time.

Talking Bumblebee (yes... it is officially labelled as 'Talking Bumblebee' as his character name - imagine trying to make sense of that in the cartoon)
Bumblebee is black like in the 3rd season of the cartoon* - comes with crossbow and gun, plus says some stuff... which is odd for this toy to be chosen for that gimmick, since he's the one in the cartoon who says the least.
(unless it has something to do with the final episode & finale movie)

Beast Tracker Optimus Prime.
Optimus on the other hand has taken on the green format that the Cmdr class toy has (green has been a bit of a theme for Beast Hunters it seems) - and comes with the sword from the ultimate version.
This one doesn't appear to have any sounds, or else it would have it promoted on the box. (so might just have the original flashing lights feature)


*His colour change in the cartoon wasn't treated as much more than a change of "clothing", so not sure if it counts as a spoiler, as it wasn't really a plot device.

As much as my inner child is going gaga for the green OP - I'm a bit of a sucker for alternate colour schemes - I have to admit it's not so desirable to anyone who already owns the original version or the Ultra Magnus retool. Bumblebee on the other hand looks pretty cool, and might end up serving as a replacement for the (IMO horrible) deluxe version in my Beast Hunters collection. I'd like to see the green applied to the Ultimate class OP toy. That plus the sword might actually drive me to buy it. Then again, an even better prospect is it turning up with the gorgeous Predacons Rising commander class colour scheme.

Never liked those weaponizer molds, not even Platinum Ultra Magnus.
These have done little to sway my opinion.
