Default Who to use for my Prime Nemesis Prime?

    I have a slight connundrum.

In my Prime display, I'd like to have a Nemesis Prime to put with the Silas Breakdown I have.

I have two Primes to choose from as far as I see it. I have both in my posession, so cost isn't a factor so much as which will fit better.

This Wiki Page has all the good screen caps I've been able to find

I have a First Edition Prime and I have the Beast Hunters UltraMagnus so I have both molds, they have their pros and cons, I think the First Edition mold is slightly better in appearance in Robot Mode, in this case it is in truck mode also, just because it doesn't have any micron ports on it.
Both Molds have pretty decent articulation.
To me the screen model is the Prime model with most of the colour leached out, it's not actually black but a near black red and blue. as such neither of the toys below really suit in that regard.

    Arms Micron 25: Nemesis Prime.

    Pros:

    * This toy was inteded to be used as Nemesis Prime.
    * The Red windows are quite striking.
*I can decorate as I like as there aren't any logos on it yet.

    Cons:

    * it comes with an Arms Micron instead of weapons. I don't really care about Arms Microns. ( I do have a couple third party prime guns which will fit.
    * It doesn't have a sword at all. (apart from the Arms Micron thingy)
    * The vehicle mode is littered with 5mm ports which I don't really like.
*Headlights and other features are stickers, I'd rather paint which I may get around to one day applying myself ()

    Dark Guard Optimus Prime

    Pros:
*It comes with a sword and a gun allowing me to use one of my third party guns on FE Prime if I want.
*It has blue windows which is more representative of the show model.
the Vehicle mode is a lot cleaner.
*the robot mode is also cleaner without Micron ports all over the forearms.
    * While there are too many gold highlights, it looks like there are some gold highlights on the show model.
    * The brown on the legs isn't quite as pronounced without the flash, I think I like the way it breaks up the front and back of the truck mode.

    Cons:
*While there is a lot of black there is also a lot of gold highlights, maybe too much.
*the robot mode has an Autobot Logo on the shoulder (in Red and White). Could this be explained away as a Mech reproduction to provide more support to "Optimus Prime gone Rogue". The alternative is to remove it, I don't know how I feel about removing a perfectly good Autobot logo from one of my expensive exclusive toys? On closer inspection, there looks to be some sort of logo on the shoulder of the show model also?

Too sum it all up, I'm leaning towards the Dark Guard Optimus, I was just Wondering what other people here thought about the two molds when considered as a more show accurate representation of Nemesis Optimus Prime. Keeping in mind that I have both at hand and I have the FE Prime, and the Beast Hunters UltraMagnus so I already have each of these out on the shelf in a slightly different form.

I'm wondering if there's an aspect that I have not considered yet?

    Cheers

I'd go for Arms Micron Nemesis Prime. Reasons being:
+ It's what it's intended to be. I hadn't seen Nemesis Prime's box so close up; I just noticed that his function is "Deception" (嘘像兵士: lit. "lying image warrior") - that's pretty darn cool.
+ IMO AM Nemesis Prime looks more like Nemesis Prime from the cartoon. Dark Guard Optimus Prime doesn't evoke Nemesis Prime to me... the gold just doesn't sell it to me.

I'm not a fan of the stickers or the silly Arms Micron model, but I'd honestly pick Nemesis Prime as Nemesis Prime.

Well if you have FE Prime out on display... for me.... I would go for the FE Nemesis version...Had you have the regular Hasbro mass release Prime - then the Nemesis one with minicon ports would be a better option to match with it , if it was the one you have on display.... As such go for the FE one.

The FE mold is the better looking of the two but that gold just isn't Nemesis Prime.
Any figure that comes with swords demands wrist articulation.

Unfortunately English is my one and only language so the writing on the box has no bearing on my decision. either box will probably be junked in the case of this figure.
If you like though I can take photos of the sides and back of both boxes and post them up here as well.

I say use Dark Guard Optimus.
    -Better mould.
-The gold highlights are a good homage to his Nova Prime origins in the IDW-verse.
-The blue windows are a better look and feel more like 'Autobot gone bad' than the red & turquoise of the arms micron figure.
-He also has none of the silly AM ports and a better weapon.

I would go with the FE Dark Guard version. The colours are not fantastic but he is big and a nemesis Prime who is not at least the same size as Optimus would look off. I would pair him up against the 2nd release Takara Optimus.

First one 'reads' to me as Nemesis Prime instantly.

    Second doesn't.

Is that because of the teal stickers though? the show model doesn's seem to have any teal at all. I think there are options on the sticker sheet to make it more like the traditional Nemesis Prime which I'm not really after.
