Heh. He's one helluva shellformer and IMO has a frustratingly counterintuitive transformation. I'd consider the Big Convoy mould to be a member of the "irritating to transform" club, right up there with BT/ALT Grimlock and MP Megatron. Still... it has a special place in my heart as the first Transformers toy with a removable Matrix in his chest. Sure there have been other toys since then that have improved on that gimmick, but in 1999 I was in lurv w/ that gimmick!

I've never seen this mold in real life so it will be a completely new experience for me. And i love the name.

I still don't get why people hate the BT Wheeljack/grimlock mold, I honestly thought it was one of the better ones excepting the slightly wibbly forearms.

I don't find it to be a terribly intuitive transformation. I had some difficulty transforming it for the first time, even when reading the instructions! I would've had a far more difficult time if I were unable to read the instructions, or tried to transform it first go without instructions at all. I just don't find it a fun toy to transform... I don't mind complicated transformations, most Binaltechs and MPs are... but I still like the transformations to be fun. To me, toys like Big Convoy, BT Grimlock and MP Megatron just aren't fun toys to transform. :/

Having said that, I don't hate BT Grimlock per se. I really do appreciate how they chose a muscle car and how the transformation/engineering works well to bulk up the robot mode to make it look big and imposing. It looks a little bit too beefy for Wheeljack IMO ... not that I think Wheeljack looks bad per se, but I think the robot design works better for Grimlock (which it was obviously originally intended for). Mind you... in hindsight BT Wheeljack does kinda evoke more of a TFP "Driftjack" feel with the sword and imposing build.

    Mine didn't.

It was shipped from the US.

I saw one douche on eBay from Perth trying to sell one at scalper prices, and his was trashed like that.

Hope he gets stuck with it.
