I don't think it's damaged stock at TRU, looking at the boxes they get them in at the stores (I got a sealed box of Soundwave x2), they're pretty well protected.

I'm thinking that the damage there is from the courier company chucking them in with the rest of their orders in the back of a truck, not stacked in the corrugated cardboard boxes as part of a TRU pallet.

I'm thinking the same thing. I just can't believe they didn't put any padding what so ever. It is just such a rookie mistake when putting anything in the post. At least wrap it in bubble wrap or something. They might as well have just taped my details to the actual box and sent it that way.

The plastic tray is also ripped on the inside. I couldn't see any damage to the figure.

Got a despatch notification at about the same time as some others above did this evening... so I wonder if there really was some left at the warehouse, and that's where they are sending this batch from. Have to wait and see I guess, what they have on them when they arrive.

I had less damage to my Platinum Predaking box, and that travelled thousands of kms with no protection - your Soundwave only travelled a few dozen.

If you get a refund because they don't have any to exchange for you, I can sell you my extra one (if it arrives undamaged).

Otherwise, if they don't have any to exchange and you prefer to keep your figure, perhaps see who is not keeping their box (I think there was a few), and see if they can pass on theirs if they are nearby.

Regardless of weather it's being sent to an adult collector, as a present, or to a child for Christmas.

I've heard of people getting theirs without a dispatch notice. However I was worried myself so I chose to go in store to grab one instead. I than proceeded to cancel my online order. Your best bet is to call head office, or the number that is on your tax invoice. Good luck man I hope it works out.

As a MISB collector, that makes me cringe. My worst nightmare is buying a vintage / rare item and having the same thing occur. Hopefully this can be sorted out for you GP.

I got a Hasbro MP Soundwave from the US and the box is flawless. My local order travelled a few km's from my local store and it was as bad as those pictures. Got a refund, no way I'm accepting that. Also helped that the figures had major qc issues.
