Default Calvin Johnson Nike shoes and Megatron toy boxset

The recoloured Generations Megatron toy (with the football), has finally been announced as to how it is being officially released.

Unfortunately for some toy fans, it is being released in a boxset of three pairs of themed shoes... so is likely to be a very expensive set if you are just after the toy.

We get to see some nice press-release images though.

This might prompt people to start searching ebay for more of the loose samples that were floating around. They won't come with packaging, but it looks like this toy won't come with its own packaging now anyway.

Now to see what this set ends up selling for...

I looking at the ones on ebay ....how come they come in the red box ?
Might be that they released the limited edition ones that come with the figure and a mass retail one for individual shoes ..?

There was a single pack about a week or two ago, and now this 3-pack (with toy) coming out soon... which is likely to be three times that price.

Looks like I'm not the only one realising that the Megatron toy is not likely to be released on its own (for a lot less than the price of three expensive pairs of shoes), as the prices of the loose figures on ebay are now going way up again.
They bottomed out at just a couple dollars each (after the first few hit over $100), and now I just got outbid on one at $41 with half a day still to go.
(unless it is people here jumping on them after I mentioned it above)

The seller has also suddenly started listing several of them, possibly to capitalise on the renewed interest in this figure.
