Your TF collecting goals for 2014

I wish. Those 3 characters I need to complete the "limited edition" ones. There's plenty of mass release characters from this series that I'm still chasing. This will be the last series I'll be chasing & that'll be it.

To collect the following figures - Quantron, SDCC Dinobot set, Green Giant and Not Menasor

2. What is your most anticipated figure of 2014

It was the SDCC dinobots, but that was promptly overshadowed by Quantron

3. What would you like to see in the Thrilling 30 line
I would love to see a Computron reissue or a Titan Trypticon

My collection goal for the remainder of the year are from the Collectors Edition:

Thrust (D-57)

Its proving elusive.

Most anticipated: Masterpiece Ultra Magnus (although it won't arrive until early next year).

1. What are your goals for 2014
Go To BOTCON. While there wrangle some good american prices for stuff. hopefully pick up another Headmaster Triplechanger to partner up with the one I bought last time I was at Botcon.

Once Botcon and associated expences are out of the way/covered make sure to collect General line figures that I like before they are only available on the secondary market.

I am really looking forward to getting my hands on Generations Skids, I'll probably get the Takara version also.


2. What is your most anticipated figure of 2014
I would have to agree with most everyone and say masterpiece UltraMagnus. Don't think I'll wait for the off chance that this guy will get a western release.
MP Wheeljack is a very close second.


3. What would you like to see in the Thrilling 30 line
If by Thrilling 30 you also mean other figures released this year as a part of the 30th anniversary celebration I'd like to see more Target Masters, a couple Headmasters and the thought of a Titan Class Trypticon makes me all tingly.

I have a feeling that by the end of the year we'll at least have news of a Generations Arcee.

Went to Botcon and on the first pass around the Dealer Room found a very minty loose Apeface for $100 US. didn't even haggle.
I have managed to get most of the general line product I was after for the year, just picked up AOE Snarl. waiting on the amazon Slog and the AD31 Optimus to eventually arrive in the mail.
I have the generations skids in my hands now but I haven't opened it for fear it's part of the first run with assembly issues. Waiting to hear news of a Takara release still. I have some more recent generations releses sitting in a POL and will be pre-ordering some more esp takara windblade and arcee from Robotkingdom after Christmas when the funds creep back.

I'm still Anticipating MP UltraMagnus he's on a pre-order with exhaust so it will be a while till I see him in hand. I was very happy with MP Wheeljack and should have MP BB in the next week or so.

Well we did get news of a headmaster, I don't thin k it will lead to any more but it would be nice.
We've got a Deluxe Arcee now so I was a little pessimistic in that forethought.
While we've not heard anything about another Titan class city, there is a rumour of a Titan class Voyager six pack that forms Devastator and I think that has me more tingly.

To resist all Masterpiece transformers.

2. What is your most anticipated figure event of 2014
To have a dedicated collection room with shelves on all sides. No more transformers hiding in kitchen cupboards!

1 - Still resisting, although I have a weird urge to buy exhaust.

2 - Collection room obtained. Shelves/Storage on all sides complete, except I need shelves in the cupboard. And I want a new glass showcase to replace some an inadequate solution I have now.

Huh, looks like I never responded to this thread after all. Oh well, I'll respond now and state my current progress as I go.

1. What are your goals for 2014?

A complete set of dinobots from the new movie.

Done! Picked up Snarl just a week or so ago. They are nifty. Now I have to decide whether I also want the Platinum Edition set, and if I can afford it.

2. What is your most anticipated figure of 2014?

MP EVA Prime.

It's not looking good on this one. I had the money saved up but suddenly got hit with needing to get a medical done for my visa, so the money went on that instead. It's possible I can get it next month, if it stays in stock somewhere, and if I work hard instead of spending all my time on Ozformers... crap.

3. What would you like to see in the Thrilling 30 line?

Less focus on early G1 toys and more on later G1 and other neglected eras.

Big win, with several Beast Wars releases, Armada updates, and obscure characters coming out. Looks like next year we're back to early G1 as the theme, which is a downer, but at least it's Combiners and there's that new Prime which opens up some interesting prospects.

Bonus Answer: In the tradition of Skullcruncher my most anticipated collecting event this year was the arrival of the UK half of my collection. It did arrive at the beginning of last month and now the two worlds have been united into one, leaving me needing to buy extra shelving units. I currently have only one shelf out of four dedicated to TFs, with a few on the "special" shelf next to the window. I'm thinking of doing an all-TF display next year for a bit, so I'll post up pictures then.

Yep. Was a little scary but mostly just very exciting to have it travel all that way. The company moving it got a bit useless once it arrived in Australia though. But I'd packed it all myself before moving out of my place in England, so I knew it would be all right.

1. What is your main goal for 2014?
My main goal is to keep buying to a minimum and getting good figures that I know I actually want. I have made a list of the stuff so far revealed, only comprises so far of:
2 Voyagers (Whirl and Rhinox) Will try to track down Rhinox soon
5 Legends (Tailgate, Skrapnel, Cosmos, Swerve and Bumblebee from 2013)
3 Deluxes (Skywarp, Waspinator and Skids) Still debating Skywarp, kind of lost interest
2 Masterpieces (YOTH Optimus Prime, MP-08 reissue) Hasbro Grimlock, close enough

Movie stuff might be added, as well as Rattrap and other figures, but so far it's looking pretty streamlined to me. Hope we get a good Encore this year.

2. What is your most anticipated figure for 2014?
My most anticipated is probably Generations Skrapnel and maybe even MP Wheeljack now.

What would you like to see in the Thrilling 30 line this year?
I'd like to see:
Generations Titan Trypticon, MP Galvatron (hell knows what Hasbro would do with it), Generations Arcee, Deluxe or Voyager (preferably the latter) Barrage, Venom and Chopshop, and a FOC Slug/Slag. Some more BW characters would be nice as well.

Overall, from the little we had at the start of the year, I think I did really well. There are still some figures I missed, like Rhinox, Hoist and Skywarp, but they should be simple enough to track down in the future.

I obtained a lot more than what I had wanted, such as Jetfire, Crosscut, Nightbeat, Brainstorm, Cliffjumper, Gears and Acid Storm, all of which I have no regret in purchasing. They just have to arrive (minus Brainstorm, he'll be in the next POL, probably with Leader Megatron and some other stuff, Arcee included) from BBTS.
