& don't forget the Camaro Z28 you put together for me a couple of years ago...
I know my dodgy pics' don't do your work justice but even after all this time, I still look at it every single day & it's more than enough inspiration for me for when I one day complete my full-size one.
has anyone had any experience with PE(photo etch)parts? i've only used it once and it was on that warspite model(the crane arms). are there any tricks or hints on the best way to apply them or paint them?
Most of the time I just use tweezers and these Xuron pliers. These are the best pliers I have ever used. There are more folding tools around but honestly you don't really need them.
For painting I just rub down the fret with wet and dry then prime it with metal etch primer. Glue it with Loctite super glue applied with a pin.
thanks for that. i'll see if i can get a pair before the PE arrives.
I'm trying to get decent pics of a few of my builds to post in this thread but feel a bit intimidated after seeing others' work now!!
However, I was looking through images of entries at the recent Rockhampton (I think it was) model show (gallery here) and saw these:
Not sure who the modeller is (anyone here?) but thought it was pretty awesome!
those are awesome!!! come on dude, post some pic's of your work. i'm always up for looking at anyone's collections of model's or toy's etc.. well anyway i've got a 1/350 battleship tirpitz coming. cost was $50 that's including postage. i've also got some PE on the way too for it, so i hope it'll be a better looking 1 then the last tirpitz i did 28yrs ago.
