I wonder if the upcoming 'Rise of the Dark Spark' game is giving something away here? Apparently, according to the unconfirmed rumors about the upcoming trailer, the main human guy finds a Cybertronian artifact of immense power (which is apparently 'narly' looking). If the game is being tied in to the movie, have they just given away that the artifact in question is indeed 'The Dark Spark'?!?

I wouldn't be expecting much if anything in the way of movie plot devices showing up in the game especially since the Cybertron part takes place in the Prime universe. Plus even with the first and second TF movie games they kinda avoided major plot points even tho they were (terrible) retellings of the movie.

Why is the Drift toy blue when his vehicle mode is predominantly black with blue striping? Could Hasbro have changed the colour because they already have a black deco 'hero' character being released in Bumblebee first?

They'll Probably just cut TFPrime out, and slab the game in to fit just before AOE. And seeming as part of the game looks to be on Cybertron. We'll create our own 'Earth Landing'.

Yeah, the Drift car is mostly black with light blue trim around the bottom, but looking through the toys at Toyfair, Drift was completely black for the Kreo toys, blue for almost all of the other ones, and blue/black on the Construct-Bots Rider.... while Lockdown is either black, green or grey, Grimlock is either grey, gold, orange or red, Strafe is either blue or grey, and Optimus is also available as white or gold (one of which is named as if part of the movie).
Considering that most have completely different different colours in the movie, there shouldn't be any reason for the different coloured versions in the toys (unless they are hoping that people will buy other versions because they don't all look the same. (like if all the Grimlock toys were grey like in the movie, it would put you off buying more than the main Leader or Voyager.... but by having some different colour schemes, it might make it more appealing to buy more than just the main figure)

A bit like the previous movies, which all the toys (gimmick or not), just look the same in a group shot...


Character collectors would love that, but others would be more selective with how many of each character they buy, based on size, price, transformation, colour, difficulty and gimmicks.


As for your question about who is Galvatron, maybe the heads in the jars in the Kreo Galvatron Factory Battle set is a hint, as one of the Human antagonists may have scavenged their technology and/or brains. (one looks like Sentinel Prime, the other is grey so could be Megatron)

Yeah, I hate the name Slug too... it just makes me think of the slimy garden variety, or the WFC giant slugs.
And Slash... well, the famous Guitarist, and taking a leak come to mind.
A Dinobot deserves something terrifying in its name!

There's an article on Seibertron.com (http://www.seibertron.com/transforme...poilers/29459/) with a description of the full trailer, which, providing it is accurate, would seem to spoil the bulk of the plot points. I don't remember the trailers of the other Bay films being quite so spoiler-y. I'm hoping the description is merely fan invention/speculation, otherwise, there's not likely to be many surprises left in the movie.

In the second movie we saw in trailers Devastator, and that was the climactic part of the movie.
In the third movie, we see the battle of Chicago, with Optimus slicing through Decepticons and the Driller beast chewing up a building.

It is a risk for movies though - the Climax is where the money shots often are, but how much do you show just to get people wanting to pay money to see more.

I think for TF4, the Dinobots should be somewhere towards the end, but the climax is still likely to be a spoiler that has been left out (the Kreo set of Galvatron breaking out of the Human's factory, with Optimus and Grimlock there... and standing really small in comparison).
What's the bet that after the Autobots chase off Lockdown's mob with the new Dinobots, the Human making his own robots, has one come to life (as Galvatron... maybe from using Megatron's brain?), and the Autobots and Dinobots then have to defeat it.
