How did the instant breakage happen out of curiosity? Something was already wrong with it in the packaging? Just curious if he has a week part etc.

It may have been as much my fault as anything (but don't tell the lovely people at Target Rockhampton, or my fiancée). The first time I transformed him one of the tabs that connects the dino head to the body broke. I took him back as it was literally the first time, but it might have been me that broke it. I think others have mentioned seeing stress marks on those parts in the review thread.

That doesn't make it OK to be charged that sort of money for a deluxe.

It's unfortunate that pricing changes so much from Country to country even over such a small distance as from Aus to NZ. I realise there are plenty of factors involved, volume being one but it's got to be cheaper to import things like Transformers into NZ.
