Looks like Classics Prime doesn't come with his smokestacks. edit Wait, wait, there it is in the box.

I think that's a poor choice for the Optimus 2-pack, as the "now" Optimus is more "then" than the Classics Optimus, particularly in truck mode... they should have used the TF3 Voyager truck (since there isn't a nose-cab Voyager in TF4).

At least the TF2 "Leader for the Ages" 2-pack had two toys that resembled the two eras (80s & Movies).

Given that Hasbro haven't actually used anything even vaguely G1 related for any of these packs, I have to say that the fact that the robot and vehicle modes are sort of switched as to which is then and which is now actually comes across as a nice touch.

This is a very desirable set for me. I have been wanting a version of Evasion Mode Optimus Prime, but have been a bit reluctant about the standard Voyager. This gives me an alternate deco, plus a deco for Classics Optimus Prime I don't actually have anymore, having customised mine into Thunderclash (I also have Ultra Magnus and Nemesis Prime).

Unfortunately, with no local TRU and the probability that if it ever does appear on the website they'll send me the Silver Knight Optimus Prime couple with a Tonka truck instead of what I actually want, I may need some help getting hold of this pair.

Both. Looks like the only chrome is on the bumper and grille.

Lol, yeah... these "Evolution" packs feel like Hasbro's attempt at emulating what TakaraTOMY did during Dark of the Moon with Transformers Chronicle, only totally missing the point about G1. Okay, admittedly G1 Grimlock's not easily feasible since they don't have an existing reissue mould on hand; but they could've easily picked a better mould than Energon Grimlock (Classics Grimlock would've been a better choice IMHO), and we all know that the G1 Optimus Prime reissue mould is definitely still available!
