Hasbro (and other toy companies) certainly compete for attention at SDCC with these creations. It is getting very expensive keeping up with them each year... and this is just one toy Brand. (lucky I don't collect several toylines)

FunPub must be loving the whole Knights theme this year to help promote their convention to the masses (the local walk-ins), from the Movie and Comics... making me think that the "Knights Vs Pirates" theme was chosen because they knew last year that it was one of the two main themes with the Brand this year (the other being Dinobots).

I agree with all of that. This seems so stupid I always hated it as well, when they take personal favorite figures of mine and just stupid them up.

As soon as BBTS puts up a preorder I'll get them. They are super unique which makes them cool in my eyes.
