There is a duty tax on anything above AUD$1000 "this also apply to more than one parcel arriving at the same time that totals AUD$1000+ to the same address".

A couple of weeks after I got a package from the US with 5 TFs in it, I received an invoice requesting $50-something for a "customs inspection fee or something like that".

I threw the invoice in the bin & I never heard anything about it ever again...




So the lesson for today is,

1/ Don't fret &

2/ Don't do what Pulse does...

I considered that dude, but I saw this order. I also have a bit of trouble paying for stuff when it comes to over seas stuff. As, I don't have access to a credit card, and I cant get much time off work to send money orders

That could of been "if i remember correctly" when customs....

Used to add Duty of 5% to the total value of the item/s and cost of shipping.

Then added the Duty on to the item/s and shipping total and and then put 10% GST on to that.

and if it turned out if the Duty and GST was below $50 (or just under that ) there was no fee.
