The store near me had signs up today saying that they had run out of the ooshies... just 2 weeks after the promo started.
I think stores only get one shipment each, and just keep giving them out until they run out. If that is true, then they might have underestimated the demand (or made it too easy to earn bonus figurines).

This series was bigger too (36 this time, compared to 24 last time)... so it would need a lot more shopping and time to collect them all, especially if you keep getting doubles and miss out on the rarer ones. This time there are a large number of specific brands that earn a bonus figure, so it doesn't require $30 for every one... some of those bonus brands have products as cheap as $1 (like the yoghurt pouches, which stores I've been to are always sold out, probably the cause of stores running out of figurines already). Essentially, you could grab 40 or 50 of the yoghurt pouches at a little over $1 each, and almost have a complete set instantly, with enough spares to trade for ones missing... but then you are paying a premium for an expensive Brand-name product that you wouldn't normally buy.

They limited the yoghurt bonus ones to 5 per shop. No waste here as my daughter loves the small.pouches of yoghurt!

I am once again saddened by how many my students (9years old) have in zip lock bags, as we all know they will.end up in landfill in another few weeks...

I did a search on ebay for the lion King ones and saw listings that had bags of hundreds of them... unable the sell them. They are worthless now but when they were being released, there were people desperately paying a fortune for the rarer ones to complete the set.

Having a quick look on ebay australia, there are quite a few "sold" listings for the six rare second series ooshies, selling for $2,000 to $15,000 each.
For someone who spends a lot of money on acquiring Transformers toys (particularly travelling for certain figures), I just can't understand why anyone would pay hundreds, let alone thousands of dollars for these tiny little lumps of rubber, that aren't an investment, or well known beyond Australia (and they are short lived here as well).

    WHAT
    THE
    ACTUAL
    *^%@$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Those aren't even RARE!!!!!!!!!!

The Glitter versions were everywhere!!! I probably saw more of each in a glitter then I did the standard ones!!!

The only 2 rare were Yoda and Thor... they weren't advertised or printed on the box. The glitters were announced and plentiful. ONLY the 2 flocked were rare and worth anything (too the right people)

It's just joke sold prices. No one is actually paying them.
