maybe someone can do a poll for how much would you buy yotg soundwave for?
This is going to be one of those same decision as what I did for YOTH Optimus except with even less optimistic wanting it.
It will have to be at a sale price for me to want it.
I got mine yesterday and this guy is cool
Comes with everything the hasbro sdcc edition
I quite like the way he looks on my shelf. The lights work well with his clear plastic
Might get another one for my son when they go on sale later In the year
i like how the clear cassettes look ..... wish they used a chrome gold ...then i would be all over it
Apparently (yet to be confirmed), the YOTG Soundwave with 5 cassettes will retail in America at ToysRUs for US$190.
If that's true, the almost-doubling of the original US MP Soundwave set certainly fits the recent pattern of Hasbro America following Hasbro Asia's lead of marking up the price of limited-edition collectable items to insane prices (if enough fans are seen to pay double or more on the secondary market or to scalpers, it was probably assessed as being acceptable by enough collectors to warrant starting at those higher prices first)... but it could also mean a much higher price here, of anything up to or over AU$300!
For anyone planning to get either of the Chinese New Year toys, if this is the price they will be at in America, it is best to buy from Asian sources, who are selling them for about US$100-130.
Just ordered my YOTG SW from RK. Ugh, our dollar is shite atm and (obviously) worse via PayPal.
Yeah i was going to give it til local release to decide if I want one... But that price even aud is a deal breaker. Probably wont end up getting it then as nothing to order from overseas for combined postage for a few months at least.
