Default April 2015 Transformers comics & books

For the Month of April from IDW are the following comics (info and cover images at the link)...

    Transformers #40
    (W) John Barber (A) Livio Ramondelli (CA) Casey W. Coller
The COMBINERS have arrived! STARSCREAM wrestles for dominance with
OPTIMUS PRIME as surprising reinforcements approach-from the Lost Light!

    Transformers: Windblade #2
    (W) Scott Mairghread (A) Livio Ramondelli (CA) Casey W. Coller
PROWL makes his move... and the galaxy will never be the same. Can WINDBLADE stand against the threat of the COMBINERS?

Transformers: More than Meets the Eye #40
    (W) James Roberts (A) Brendan Cahill (CA) Alex Milne
Having saved the universe... kind of... the Lost Light crew deal with the fallout in a manner befitting the gravity of the situation... Kind of.

    Transformers VS G.I. Joe #8
    (W) Tom Scioli, John Barber (A/CA) Tom Scioli
In the interplanetary war between the TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE, anything can happen... and does.

Transformers Volume 7 - Combiner Wars: First Strike
    (W) John Barber (A) Sarah Stone & Various (CA) Casey W. Coller
The secret origins of CYBERTRON's golden age are revealed to OPTIMUS PRIME-and what he learns changes everything about the AUTOBOTS' mission on Earth. Collects issues #33-38.
A couple of the covers show us Defensor and Devastator, so more evidence of a Defensor toy... perhaps.

    Blades=Alpha Bravo retool
    First Aid=Offroad retool
    Street wise =Dead End retool

Can't quite figure out why on that second cover of Windblade Streetwise is half red and Blades is all white like Alpha Bravo. Coloring mistake I can only guess?

And Hot Spot could well be a new mold after all...

Out next week should be #39 of MTMTE, and #6 of GIJoe Vs The Transformers (now two issues behind). Plus, the TPB of what was "RID" but now just "Transformers", being Volume 7 containing issues 33-38.

Out next week is #40 of Transformers, plus a new Spotlight compilation.
It also notes that the Transformers FCBD comic is sent to stores next week, but is to be held until May 2 - but gives us a description of what will be known as RID #0.

Out next week is Windblade #2, and Classics Volume 8... the compilation that includes all the Universe bios from the original Marvel Comics (the four issues PLUS the add-in bios that were in the later issues of the US Marvel comic).

It will be a worthwhile purchase, even if you have the original issues, as it will be a condensed copy, that is fresh, and allows you to store the original issues without further damaging them.
It also includes the original GIJoe & The Transformers 4-issue story... which isn't too bad as a stand-alone story. (certainly better reading than the current crossover comic)

I wonder how they are going to swing that story wise as last I saw of him Hot Spot was on the Lost Light after it took off with Megs as (co)Captain

Maybe they will just hope we forgot
