So I heard about a Trademark Hasbro applied for from G1Optimal and decided to have a bit of a look into it:

    Trademark Name: Combiner Force
    Trademark ID: 86923603
    Status Date: Mar. 03, 2016
Description: Toy action figures, toy vehicles and toy robots convertible into other visual toy forms
    Owner Name: Hasbro, Inc.
    ]

Not sure if this gonna be a new toyline which would hopefully involve all of the non scramble city type combiners, or it is to make sure no other company tries to use the name Combiner Force. At the moment it's too early to know anything but if it's gonna be new combiners, here's hoping for Raiden, Rail Racer and every other Train combiner there is :P
I'll update this when I'm needing help finding particular figures

Looks like we are gonna get Liokaiser

I honestly thought Titans Return would herald the end of the CW toyline but looks like with Computron, Victorion and now Liokaiser on the way it's still going strong

Anyone else super stoked that Computron comes with SCROUNGE?

    All he did was die

But I like the use of the target master as his super hand.

I don't think latching onto somebody's shoulder should really qualify as a combiner member. Perhaps Shouldermaster is more appropriate?

Bear in mind that there were several gestalt members who transform into the gestalt robot's backside. Not even the waist, just the bum.

If robots who transform into buttocks can count as a gestalt team member, then why not a shoulder.

Also, being rather superfluous pretty fits right in with Scrounge's M.O.

While I'd be really keen for Scrounge, my fears were confirmed with the BotCon pictures which showed that there were no new heads for any of the figures (except for Strafe who seems to have taken the entire remould budget for the set)

So I've gone with the UW set for the first time ever, and one extra figure isn't enough to justify buying two.

Afterburner has remoulds for the vehicle mould. Yeah, if I hadn't already preordered the Hasbro version yonks ago, I'd probably skip that in favour of the UW version too. Still, happy to be getting Scrounge.

Looking at CW Shockwave in real life today and comparing it to photos of BotCon Reflector, and I could be convinced Reflector would be alright - except for the gun hand. Could there be a retool planned with two fists?

The BotCon Reflector combined mode looks like a fan-mode, but seems to work as a "sorta camera"... but I was disappointed that the BotCon 3-pack didn't have one with a circle sticker or paint-app on its chest like one of the Reflectors had in the cartoon (as the camera lens).

It's amazing to realise that this is a first-year character, that only has one retail release toy (the tiny Gen-14 toy that came with Skrapnel), and just the one "proper" toy before that (the mail-order 3-pack from 1985/86).
Every other 1984 character has had multiple toys over the years... but Reflector seems to keep missing out. I guess that's what makes this BotCon version, with fan-mode camera form, a good toy.
