Default Movie on Blu-ray out today in US.

Got the email from Paramount, and the countdown on the official website has reached zero:
    http://www.transformersonbluray.com/

This is only of interest to those who can't wait for it to be released locally (in a months time I believe).
Is Blu-ray region coded? If so, this is probably useless news for Aussie fans...

It's pretty easy to set your dvd player to "Region 0" (it took me all of 2 minutes through googling/entering the code) so could you do the same thing with Blu-ray?

    griffin,

some Blu-Ray movies are region free and some aren't. Amazon.com normally says if it is or not, thought they have been known to be wrong on occasion and people have been left with movies they cannot view.

The place I go to in order to get accurite Blu-Ray movie region info is this website:
    http://bluray.liesinc.net/

    - hasn't lead me asstray yet

and on it you will see that the Transformers 2 Disc Blu-Ray release is Region Free

    Pulse,

unfortunitely I don't believe it is that simple with the Blu-Ray players, well at least not with a PS3
