Default Unreleased HK Generations Voyager Brawn on ebay

There were four Voyager Class toys in the 2012 Asian exclusive Generations line, but only three ended up being released... with the fourth (Brawn) not being released with no explanation.
It was later released in Japan in 2014 the Cloud series, but with slightly different colour scheme to give it a more anime look to it.

For those who were looking forward to the original Generations Brawn toy in 2012, now is your chance... to fight over one of the pre-production samples.

Up on ebay is a sealed box pre-production sample, apparently bought from an ex-employee of Hasbro... so it will be interesting to see where it goes with the final bid price.

Ebay auction is here to bid or watch it - while the images are mirrored here for future reference when the auction disappears in a few months time.

Yikes. I knew it would go high, but not that high. I'm not a fan of the toy anyway.

To me it just looks like a version of Transformers Prime Bulkhead with a different head sculpt... but maybe I'm just not appreciating it.

The Chinese characters on the box also make me a little nervous as I've only ever seen this on fakes (admittedly I've only been collecting for a year and 1/2 so I'm a newb to the older stuff). Were older official Hasbro figures released with English/Chinese around that time?

GDO Brawn is exactly what you described. He was unreleased in the 2012 GDO exclusives, which were Asian exclusives (and at US Toys R Us) with Chinese writing on them. If I recall correctly, we haven't seen any other physical versions of this figure, beyond Takara's cloud version and the promo pic on other GDO boxes.

Yes, there seemed to be two production runs of the 2012 Asian Generations, one lot with just English, and one lot with Chinese on them... with the Deluxes being in robot mode or alt-mode for the two versions.

It's interesting, from what I gathered the original Asia exclusive releases were just standard English packaging, while the American "imported" versions were covered in Chinese characters...

I guess they figured they didn't look like Asian exclusives unless there was Asian text
