It's okay to have "temporal" topics and polls to be done again after a year or two, to see the changes of our demographic over time.
Since that last poll was 18 months ago (and was last active 18 months ago), it is better to start a new topic than re-awaken that one now that many people would now be in another year-group.

It's the same with those collection counts... as they change over time, so old polls are no longer accurate.

On the topic of young ppl enjoying G1 figs, I was surprised to meet an American kid (through the crazy ways the internet works) who is totally into enjoying the G1s as well as the new figures. Really restored my faith in the younger generation.

There seems to be a generational thing happen that has a lot of kids of a particular generation picking up on things that their parents liked in their childhood, because their kids then grew up with it all around them (kinda like brainwashing). So kids of Transformers fans (or 80s toys) are more likely to pick up an interest in them because it is already in their lives. Like, a lot of people in my generation (80s kids) have an affinity with 60s music icons because we grew up with our parents who grew up in the 60s, often listening to them in their adult years while we were kids 20 years later.

^ this! I was just thinking how great it would be if someone here was over 100, because it means not only have they found this site, but they have also kept their skills up to date by knowing their way around the internet and a computer. I just think that'd be awesome.
