Sold out at Garden City at opening, they only had six which three people bought instantly, six more coming but already two on hold at 8:10am, none left at Underwood, I got the last one on opening at 8:30pm.

i feel for those that have waited patiently only to be told that Devastator's sold out within 3 minutes of the doors opening.

it also looks like my decision to buy the Takara version has been made for me since I didn't feel like going up the street at midnight to shop for plastic crack and won't get to the shops until lunchtime today.

I'm a little surprised that this has sold so quickly.

It's probably just my natural cynicism, but I can't get past the idea that scalpers have seen how much attention it's been getting in the fan community. We know for a fact that Devastator has been advertised on eBay at an inflated price before release, so it's definitely happening somewhere.

That and the fact that retailers still seem to be underestimating the popularity of Transformers in this country. Let's be honest here, Combiner Wars is one of the biggest lines to come out in years, with a dedicated fanbase who want to buy absolutely everything it has to offer. Yet we still have stores dragging their feet on stocking wave 2, and the one store that did bother to stock the deluxes (which happens to be Big W) not only skipped wave 1 entirely, they didn't stock anything to combine them with. That is a level of ignorance from a retailer I can't even begin to comprehend.

I spoke to someone at the Garden City store just now, who said they only expected to receive 6 units but wished they would receive if it was going to be popular. Those were her exact words. Who exactly is running their toy department? Who is making all of these terrible, terrible decisions and why do they hate money?

Got to Big W Macquarie at 06:35 and was 5th inline, lucky all the guys in front of me went straight for the PS4's there were 3 left when I got mine and by the time I left, they were all gone!!!

I went in at midnight and apparently my store never got theirs in.

So I had this plan to get Devastator by going to a big w which I was guaranteed one, in a case if luck they had 1 left, so I grabbed him I am now a part of the devastator club

Locally a lot of the stores don't have stock yet and Macarthur just confirmed they are getting stock in even tho online it says they wont be getting it 14 in transit for arrival next week + 18 on order....
