I took Big W's current toy catalogue to Myer & asked them to price match the Ultimate FX electronic lightsaber $29. They refused.

Yeah Myer don't price match on the spot. Every time I asked them to price match toys, electrical etc they log into their system and sometimes need an approval from a floor manager to do so. $29 is a great price for those lightsabers.

They used to price-match on the condition that it was not below the cost of the item to them... which is hard to know if they being honest if they say a certain figure as the cost price.

It's bollocks in my opinion. Without seeing their books, the area manager can use that line to flatly reject any & all price matching requests.
