Beat me to it... but nice mirroring of images.
I think this is a new feature this year for Hasbro at SDCC - a Breakfast preview... in addition to the Dinner preview the night before. The SDCC is certainly becoming a huge promotional medium now, being padded out as much as possible.
As noted at TFW (who kept spelling the fan-vote toy as Victorian... so I guess it is Australian after all), these two combiners will be boxsets, and not likely to be exclusive to any retailer. (they are probably going to be like Quickslinger and Brakeneck, and be an online exclusive to whomever wants them)
I think it is great that they are using the Quickslinger mould for the G2 Slingshot. The Victorian weapons are from the Cosmic Rust episode in Generation 1 and combine.
The molds being used for Victorian are: Hot Spot (new head sculpt)
Alpha Bravo x 2 (new molded arms)
Dead End (new head sculpt)
Breakdown (new head sculpt)
Groover (legends mold)
The G2 Superion set will include all five original team members plus Powerglide!
We can also expect more news about more possible G2 combiners this weekend.
The molds being used for Superion should be no surprise:
Silverbolt
Air Raid
Fireflight (Firefly)
Skydive
Slingshot (Quickslinger)
The colours on the Gen2 Superion look great for being very reminiscent of the original toys.
However the colours on Victorion were giving me a headache after looking at all the TFW photos. I think the final version will be a little duller, but the green/red colours clash way too much.
I guess it was a result of the fan-vote, but I don't like there being two Alpha Bravo moulds in the set. It ruins the variety, and is probably the worst of the Combiner Deluxes so far in terms of alt-mode appearance and engineering (in my mind).
Love the Supererion set... not so much for Victorion.
(and excited for the suggestion that there could be more Gen2 deco sets to come... as a Gen2 Defensor and Menasor would be a dream come true for all the fans who could never have the originals)
