If takara is on defence they will pump it out ensuring 3p puts a stop on theirs as it won't be worth while.

Yeah seriously add shockwave, ironhide, ratchet, hot rod, a possible ramjet, road rage and the variants , that's about more than $600 easily on pre order.

I think the symbols on the shoulders are ok, shame they are so large seem a bit distracting. But the overall presentation of the figure is amazing, the white really makes the robot stand out. I prefer the red Ironhide in vehicle mode though. I agree Mirage will probably be the next autobot car.

Looks nice. The cross and Autobot combo is a bit distracting, but otherwise really good.

I'm glad they're releasing Ratchet so soon after Ironhide but there is something about the shoulder pattern that is annoying. I don't mind them putting the autobot logo over the cross but I think it needs to be smaller or a different pattern (maybe some kind of insignia to represent an autobot medic). Too many autobot logos on his front torso just looks a bit strange...

I'm undecided if I will get him because of that...

The logo issue will indoubtedly be fixed with some aftermarket decals, unfortunately TT would've had little choice in the matter. If the logo looks too much like the Red Cross, especially on an ambulance then hello legal action.

Gonna have to seriously look at a regular Aussie supplier now. The previous Masterpiece release rate allowed me to pick up a new figure or two whenever I travelled to Singapore to visit my brother. Now with a monthly release schedule, I'll have to find alternate ways.

I'm okay with the compromise with the cross.
If they didn't put one on, people would complain... if they put on something that doesn't get them sued, people complain.

Focus on the toy, and if the cross is that important, I'm sure reprolables will come up with something.


My concern is the way he is so much taller than Bluestreak (which will make him tower over the Autobot cars that are already released). Ironhide will be obviously be the same, but I didn't notice it as much with him... the bright white of Ratchet makes it more obvious.

The International Red Cross cracked down on the use of Red Cross being used by anyone else sometime in the 90s - it's why you more likely see a green cross used on first aid kits etc - but that would look very wrong here.

I still see plenty of naughty nurse outfits with the red cross emblem. It's all not doom & gloom.
