Well I still haven't gotten myself a piece as the last time Devy was meant to be on sale at Big W, I'd politely asked the sales staff if the stock was in then on the night before it was to be released... was told by the Big W dipstick staff that stock hasn't arrived and to check tomorrow.
Guess what? Tomorrow came and once again I went to the store in the morning only to be told that it was sold out
Idiots said the same thing to me today... "stock's not in yet, try tomorrow".
I'm not going to waste time as they obviously will be sold out to a scalper tomorrow.

No offense was meant to you personally or any of the workers that do the right thing by customers and collectors, though as you can see by the other posts and by what happened last time you're not the problem, it's the workers that are liars and helpful to scalpers that we have issues with

Seen 12 at Big W this morning. My first sighting as I missed seeing any last time. I'm tempted to buy even though UW version is under the tree. One set to combine one to have as robots?!

My local Big W didn't have any stock, and as usual had no clue what was going on.

it's hardly fair to accuse Big W staff of lying and intentionally selling to scalpers. It's a shop with stuff on the shelf. when I worked at coles I wouldn't have been able to tell you how many packets of green jello were on a pallet in the stockroom waiting to be stocked that night and I was a duty manager two nights a week, this is no different.

Staff at registers aren't going to stop people buying multiples of something unless they have been told there is a specific purchase limit. They are paid peanuts per hour and I can guarantee there is no customer service training that says you should shame the customer you think might be a scalper. it's a good way to lose your job.

stores that go to the trouble of having lists and calling people back are working above the standard system (as far as I know) and if it doesn't work because the person responsible wasn't in store the day an item arrived, it's hardly their fault. you should thank them the next time you see them for making the effort.
