These are supposedly the "mainline" deluxes that would have been sold when the movie came out with Studio Series figures to follow.

As with Airazor, I'm surprised that there is much improvement to be made and could very well fit in with Studio Series toys - maybe Wheeljack moreso than Nightbird - the Nightbird plastics seem more patchy than you would hope for a Studio Series figure. But the VW van Wheeljack looks great!

It is interesting to see that (Leader?) Skyquake is bigger than Voyager Starscream in robot mode, but smaller than Starscream in jet mode, so it must compress a lot during transformation.

So the kombi van, is that a carry over from the last knight? There was a decepticon kombi that never transformed.

There seems to be an upcoming G1 Hound toy reissue in cartoon colours, similar to the recently released 86 Movie deco reissue Hot Rod and Starscream.

    Phwoar... that Hound!!

Totally falls in the category of "something I didn't know I needed"...

Makes me wonder how far they might take this line.

Have we had a Western Anime Astrotrain yet?

The original G1 prototype colouring was closest to the animation model colour scheme. The Collector's Edition (2004) version was meant to be a reissue with that prototype's colour scheme but got it wrong. Lol

Toon style really is the thing now. A toon colour G1 hound toy is not something I ever thought I would see. Or ever wanted to see, actually. I'm not the target market, I guess. I already stopped buying Masterpiece Transformers due to the toon direction, basically stopping my purchasing of the brand. Still, if they weren't selling, they wouldn't keep making them. Enjoy, folks!

When i first saw the photo of this rumoured release, i thought it was MP Hound, and then when i looked closer, i thought it was a knock-off G1 toy. Lol
