I'm really impressed by the alt mode on this one, while a little fiddly to line everything up the finished result is clean and tight. The design is also very attractive and in this colour it's very 80's Batmobilesque.
Furthermore the 'beast' based bot modes of the Decepticons from this toyline is lending itself to some very novel transformations. I'm also digging that they don't really skimp on the paint apps in this line and was pleasantly surprised to find the rear window painted. Perhaps this justifies the extra cost compared to similar sized figures in Titan's Return. Thermidor is a real pleasure!
You don't know how tempted I was to write "Batmobile" under 'Alt-Mode' for this toy instead of "Sports car."![]()
Anyone have comparisons with bisk?
I don't have any photos but I opened Takara Bisk and Hasbro Thermidor on the weekend. I really like the transformation, I think it's quite novel and hides robot mode parts in plain site without being obvious.
my Bisk doesn't hold together quite as well as Thermidor in Alt mode. I'm going to have another couple goes at transforming him to se if there is some subtle positioning that will make the difference.
I get the Batmobile reference but I also think they look very much like the Prime Vehicons in Alt mode.
