G2 Gobot Optimus Prime arrived last week.
http://www.tfu.info/1995/Autobot/Opt...timusprime.htmGood to finally get it, but had to pay a fortune for it. Stupid Canada postal service charging by volume instead of by weight... US$60 postage (about AU$100) for that tiny toy. I gotta stop buying stuff from canadians.

Forgive my taking the Lord's name in vain but "By UNICRON Griff!!"

$100 postage for a figure the size of a matchbox car and even lighter??!!???
May I ask what the sale price for the figure was?

There's something wrong with the world today....

TDD: Btw- if you want, pass em back to me to get the shoulders painted with the white design ala henkei SScream next to them No extra - just want to make sure they're consistent to your collection
Ah thanks lcz. I think they're good as is. That SS will be replaced when the new Universe one comes out anyway. I'd just like to get a couple more seekers to you so you can start on them.

US$90 buy-it-now. It was the first BIN item, since forever, that was actually dropped when relisted. Everyone else seems to have the TRU mentality and relist their 30 day BIN items at the same price or higher, month after month. I've watched items for almost a year, with no reduction in price.
Optimus and Megatron 'spychangers' are fairly rare, and hardly ever go for under US$100 these days, so grabbing this one when it was reduced by US$30 made the overpriced shipping feel a little less severe.

I absolutely have to agree with you on canada post. In my opinion they are one of the most overpriced carriers around. Once I had to get a G1 box flattened and shipped via a packet, as opposed to a box because the shipping cost for the box was unreal.

At first it's like 'Cool, the Dollars are so close; what a bargain!'... and then you get an introduction to the Canadian Postal Service. Blah, been there. Nice aquisition though Griffin... I have a soft spot for Gobots/Spychangers. Who woulda' thunk.

I think CanadaPost must have put up their prices recently... *shrugs*

About 2 years ago, I got my Alt Mirage from a Canadian seller for RRP & I recall shipping being pretty reasonable.

I guess it's all about squeezing our wallets for every last dollar...

I think they just removed the economy post category. I had some stuff posted from Canada a while back and I only had two choices: surface or express. Seller was kinda apologetic about it as well because they have no other options there.

Yeh Canada Post is terrible. My only 2 packages from there had a shipping cost > the cost of the items I actually bought. Not cool, especially if they scrapped the economy option recently

I've had nothing but bad experiences with the Canadian postal system.
