Can anyone see any obvious recycled parts with Overbite and Tentakil from previous toys? There looks to be a lot of extra work on these two, but they have all been scratch-built, with some recycling parts or limbs of previous toys.
One thing I have noticed though is that the TakaraTomyMall listings have increased the prices for all of the Seacons, including the first four which were originally listed with cheaper prices. I wonder if these last two cost a little more to produce, or the Seacons were more popular than they expected and they are price-gouging the fans who will need the final two to complete the set.
It's only an extra 78yen for each deluxe, which is about AU$1.10 for each toy, but to change the prices of the others after their pre-order period had closed seems a bit sneaky, as if they were trying to hide the price difference by saying that the last two are just the same price as the other Deluxes. (or they are planning to make extras to sell on the TTM website at the higher prices)
And it's not a pre-order discount either, because the last two Deluxes are on pre-order at the new higher price.
The Voyager Turtler was 7020yen, but is now 7150yen.
The five Deluxes were 4104yen, but are now 4180yen.
(as noted on TFW for
the first pair and
the second pair, compared to
the third pair)
