Transformers TCG wave 5 for April 2020

A first announcement on twitter and instagram, with no other details, has the fifth series of the Trading Card Game coming out in April next year.
(the image of Titans Return Megatron is probably nothing to do with the theme or content of the next series, as a claim was made about series 5 being IDW themed)

Looks like the 5th series will be about Titans Return after all, as a pre-order listing has been found on Amazon, before an official announcement by WOTC.
The description appears to have a similar concept to the previous series, with a box of card-packs to include a Titan card (this time it will be Fortress Maximus).

Titan Master Characters: Mix and match heads and bodies to customize Titan Masters to fit your playstyle.

Some more cards have been revealed, including a 3-card combiner - Tidal Wave (from Armada).

Some more series 5 battle cards have been revealed, with some having new action icons, being a blend of colour and alt-mode type (which means it only works on that type of alt-mode)...

It looks like WOTC are heavily promoting the 5th series this week, leading up to NY Toyfair, as several different sites have each revealed a card (similar to how they promoted the 3rd series)... so expect more reveals of cards from random websites (including some Australian sites again).

The cards from the last day, compiled together at this news posting, include....

Headmasters/Heads - Wolfwire & Monxo, Skullsmasher & Grax.

Battle Cards - Energon Mace, Trithyllium Shield.

Strategem Cards - More Guns (can only be used with Weaponizers), Who's Next (can only be used with Kup), Camien Toughness (can only be used with Windblade).

Another character card pair revealed - Titanmaster Perceptor and Convex.

Two more significant reveals today...

Fortress Maximus, Cerebros and Emissary - three cards that are included as a bonus pack with each box of blind packs (like with series 4 having a Trypticon pack).
Unfortunately with the official rules limiting you to having only 25 stars, if you want to play a complete Fortress Maximus, you can't play any other characters because it comes to 25 stars (and it also means you can't have any special battle cards that have a star value to them either).

Sky Shadow and Ominus - Also a 3 card character, as Sky Shadow (like the toy) has two vehicle modes (cards) and a Titan Master card.

Series 5 is released April 17th.

A new Battle Card revealed - Scouting Mission.

Wizards of the Coast (the creators of the Transformers Trading Card Game) have been really generous and sent us a couple of the new Series 5 cards, to help reveal them to to the fans.

We have a Character Card "Brawn" and his Stratagem Card "Resilience".
