Default Furai Model Attack Mode Optimus Prime

I haven't made a model anything in over 20 years. I won this kit a year or so ago and finally decided to give it a crack. I think I spent nearly as much on materials as the kit itself is worth.

    The finished product is here

Hopefully I'll get around to producing some in progress pics somewhere.

Looks great and looks like some fairly decent workmanship!

What other materials did you have to buy? I note you mention paint in your twitter post.

    [Borat] Very nice. [/Borat]

The turn table adds a nice touch to the display too.

    Thanks guys.
I bought 4 different cans of spray paint, at $15 and $18. Tyre black, white, gloss black, metallic blue and metallic grey small paint tubs at $3 -$5 each. A couple fine brushes. Half a pack of bamboo skewers. Luckily I had some making tape on hand. I've taken a bunch of photos, I intend to put up a process thread at some point.
Using a spray gun and pressurised air can to prep gloss black to finish with alclad chrome was a failure. If I go there I'll need to buy a compressor.
