Despite the hefty pricing, that Robosen Optimus sold out in America within hours... but I wouldn't know how many units they had available, so it might not be a huge achievement if they didn't have too many available.
But I'm not so sure how they could sell out if they haven't been made yet, as they are being released in November (7 months time), so shouldn't have been made yet.

Apparently there was an allocation to the Hasbro Pulse site as well, which was not only $100 cheaper at us$700, but Pulse members probably got free shipping as well.
Yes, the full price of this item in America direct from the Robosen website is us$800... remember, Unicron was us$575, and the 3rd version of MP Optimus was about us$300.

From some in-hand photos (would have to be a pre-production figure), it has on the box "Cybertron Commander", which is strange as that is the Japanese allegiance for Autobots, but it is licensed by Hasbro, so I'm puzzled as to why it has Cybertron on the packaging instead of Autobot.
