An earth mode Sideswipe retool of the Siege toy, and a version of Airazor with new head (and new beast head?) as the Japanese Beast Wars II Skywarp (part of Magnaboss, the Japanese version of Silverbolt)

This was listed on Amazon for a pre-order for a while, but as Sideswipe with Nightprowler. The listing (and orders) have been updated with images of these two new figures

He matches Earthrise Sunstreaker in alt mode rather well I think.

But yeah both would be better with spoilers!

Sideswipe looks clean, like a mini Masterpiece sans spoiler. If this isn’t impossible to get here, I will probably jump on. Skywarp is a bit of a laugh with the two bird heads in robot mode, but still cool. I understand be is a BWII character, is there a decent chance fans of that series will be trying to track a separate one down?

I was interested in keeping Grimlock, but not so much this one.

Also means trying to track down the less than stellar Sunstreaker. :/

Another one where I would have to split it with someone who only wants BW, not G1.

Who is making these decisions at Hasbro? Why would you not put the two BW toys together, and Mirage & Sideswipe together?

Fans who only want G1 characters will be forced to buy two separate two-packs instead of a single G1-themed two-pack. The same goes for fans who only want Beast Wars characters. In terms of increasing sales/annual profit it's a clever business decision by Hasbro.

Not sure about it being called Skywarp... it doesn't make sense to me (yet). Hasbro are doing Hasbro Beast Wars homages (so far), so why not call this toy Silverbolt (from Magnaboss), as we have 2 Decepticon Skywarp toys in the WFC series, and if they keep pimping out redecos we are likely to have another one with black/purple redeco of core sized Starscream.... but no Silverbolt toys, which makes it more confusing to call it Skywarp over Silverbolt.

The price on Amazon Australia for this 2-pack of Deluxes is the same as the first 2-pack, which had a Voyager and Deluxe, so these might be priced according to box size rather than contents (like the Beast Wars Vintage toys later this year).

I see that the Sideswipe mould is already ready for a light bar... (Red Alert, and Clampdown if they really want to pimp out the mould with characters (like Deepcover and Tigertrack) that used to be obscure, but now expected with each new Sideswipe toy).
