Exclamation Email message sent out to members today.

    Hi fellow bot-fans,

Just sent out an email to everyone currently registered and yet-to-be registered, about a potential email issue with free-mail clients like gmail, hotmail and yahoo.
I've been getting a fair few free-mail registration applicants not completing their registration, and with a couple asking where their registration email is, it may be caused by their mail host being too agressive with their security settings (to block the spam and viruses that are very creative these days).

I've asked that people here either change their email contact to a non-free email, or whitelist my domain name or email address.

BUT PLEASE NOTE (I should have included this in the email) - never open up any attachment sent by me that you aren't expecting or isn't clearly stated in the email/title. This is in case the Board or my computer is ever compromised by a virus/trojan, and gets through to the members who have white-listed me.

If you didn't get the email from me (sent a few minutes ago), please post here, so that I can see if there is a pattern.

Comments or questions are welcome, as it will hopefully help the Board out in the end if we don't appear to be ignoring new members when they register.

Just replying that your email has been received. Im using Yahoo Griffin. There has been some issues indeed with Yahoo users not receiving emails due to aggressive spam filters they employ. I had to have my emails from Optus sent to me in my Hotmail account as my Yahoo account wont register a message sent to me at all. But yours have gone through fine.

I have already set up OTCA messages to be allowed into my inbox, so all good.

I use Yahoo.com.au, and they have very stringent email/spam filters.
