This was an official Hasbro announcement at a fan event. Bunch of photos of the actual toy popping up in Twitter from fans that were invited.

Being this late may explain the late start on legacy

Yeah, given wave 4 hasn't completely dropped yet and now we're getting a fifth wave of Kingdom. Not complaining, but yes that would explain the seemingly delayed release for Legacy.
Looking to buy lucky draw Armada Prime and Diaclone Marlboor Wheeljack.

    Well, well, well...

I had decided that the mooted 5th wave of Kingdom was just a leaker's rumour gone wrong. Even if it wasn't, I was sure that Blaster belonged to next year's Legacy line, because of how he features prominently in the Legacy poster...

I wonder what, if any, deluxes will go with this.

And now I'm thinking back to what else was leaked about Blaste; specifically that there will be another release to buy if you want all the tapes. It was never made clear just what this release was, except for a very large suggestion that you would end up buying (some form of) Blaster again. So would that be a Twincast re-colour, or a comics face re-mould? Or would even Hasbro be low enough to release the same base toy twice, just with different (cassette-bot) accessories?

    Ooooooh...

Had a look at a better picture of Eject, and it seems to have the articulation I wanted all along from Frenzy and Rumble and the others (the lack of which resulted in the few toys I acquired ending up in The Box, no further attempt being made to acquire the other versions of the moulds, and my using KO MP cassetticons for those characters).

Looks kinda nice. What are the chances of Frumble being revisited in this fashion, I wonder?

I will note that I am not in the least bothered by the prospect of the toy being largely transparent plastic. I do not consider transparent plastic to be more fragile than coloured plastic; my (admittedly somewhat rudimentary) knowledge of plastics suggests the opposite. It might show stress much better (because you can see right through it), but I don't believe it suffers any more than opaque plastic.

Awesome, and hopefully I finally get a CHUG Steeljaw from this.
I have a list of all G1 characters that have been released in CHUG form. You can find it here. Please feel free to let me know if I got anything wrong so I can fix it.

Blaster looks nice, but Eject shouldn't have been translucent.

With Blaster/Eject being K44, it leaves us with K36 and K43 left unknown... and I would imagine there should at least be one more Core class toy, as we only got 3 waves of that, but have 4-5 waves of the other two main classes (Deluxe & Voyager).

The product details from the link Paulbot posted above...

Transformers: Generations War for Cybertron: Kingdom Voyager WFC-K44 Autobot Blaster & Eject

    Product Description:
War for Cybertron: Kingdom Voyager WFC-K44 Autobot Blaster & Eject stands at 7 inches and is G1-inspired. The Autobot Blaster figure converts into classic G1-inspired radio mode in 20 steps and comes with a blaster accessory. Eject figure converts from robot to cassette mode in 8 steps and fits inside the Autobot Blaster figure’s chest. The figure includes a Golden Disk card that reveals a possible destiny of a key character. Collect other Kingdom figures to reveal all 3 alternate destiny variants for each character! (Each sold separately. Subject to availability.)

With the ancient and highly advanced F.O.S.S.I.L. (Fossilized Osteo-Skeletal Shield Integration Loadout) technology, Fossilizer bots, infused with primordial energy, break apart to weaponize their allies. Use Deluxe Fossilizer figures to beastify the Autobot Blaster figure with bone armor! (Sold separately, subject to availability.) Beastify the battlefield! Worlds collide when the Maximals and Predacons join the fight, coming together with the Autobots and Decepticons in an epic battle that will alter their destiny forever. Primal power floods the battlefield as the fierce beast modes of the Maximals and Predacons are unleashed!
The reveal apparently noted that Blaster/Eject will be "wave 5" which will be scheduled to be released January 1st 2022.
