Not intending to whinge, but I think the open box packaging for almost every size class of legacy is perhaps the worst idea for tf packaging in the last 37 years. Seriously, how much does a simple, square corner cardboard box with a windows cost.
It makes it very difficult to buy any of the toys...

I think it's more about environmental reasons than the cost. Although Hasbro would be happy about bringing that down too.
Looking to buy lucky draw Armada Prime and Diaclone Marlboor Wheeljack.

Am I being cynical, or is Hasbro's price increase and new environmental packaging incentive part & parcel of saving costs while still maintaining their profit margins?

^ The removal of plastics probably has more to do with cost than the environment, but they won't admit that. After all, they did say they were jumping on the NFT train, and at this point, we have good evidence that NFTs are an environmental disaster.

Windowless boxes are an issue, seen several cyberverse deluxes with no heads and a bumblebee half torn out of the box

Half the windowed boxes I see anyway seem to be quite roughly put together, it’s not a good look half the time. As nice as the packaging has been since Combiner Wars, I’d rather just not bother caring about it now.

Windowless might give a decent reason to cut off the front art, but still the whole box is probably going in the bin.

If I'm buying a figure I care about online I go through BBTS' collector grade. I know many would balk at the extra couple of bucks, however I've found the service to be quite good.

Earlier today (Tuesday) Hasbro officially announced/revealed on facebook a toy that we already knew about from one of their earlier Legacy presentations - the re-release of Kingdom Leader Galvatron in wave 1 of Legacy, but confirming that it won't have the "battle damage" scuffing paint of the Kingdom version.

Here comes another #TransformersTuesday reveal! Galvatron is back, and this time he’s facing off with Laser Optimus Prime! And we’re happy to announce that we listened to your feedback and removed the battle damage deco! Both Transformers: Legacy Leader Galvatron and Laser Optimus Prime are launching this Spring.
The fb posting has a single image that isn't really clear, but shows that Galvatron is indeed clean.

One of the regular sources of unreleased toys has "obtained" the unreleased Legacy Skywarp, and some screenshots can be seen here. (nothing fancy, as it is just a redeco of Starscream)

Meanwhile, an official source has posted up a youtube video turnaround of both modes of Legacy Deluxe Arcee....
