Default New counterfeit warning - Gen1 Prowl.

From the same source as the Wheeljacks and Mirages, is Prowl - so beware of future Prowl purchases, in and out of box. Unfortunately, there appears to only be one significant difference to the figure, which can be corrected with the placement of a sticker (probably packed with it), so no way yet of distinguishing them out of packaging.

    From the Allspark forum,
    http://www.allspark.com/content/view/3949/20/
things to look out for - 'no pre-applied "POLICE" sticker on the door, brighter grid lines, and the sun burst being too bright'

The complete comparison listing has been added to the KO TFs website here:

At least he is very easy to ID in package and since most vintage Prowls have the door stickers applied, its not that hard to ID it loose specially when many sellers probably won't bother to apply the stickers because they will want to sell it with an intact sticker sheet or don't know that the original came with factory applied stickers.

There are always the 'smarter' counterfit seller that will apply the stickers but still, I doubt too many of them would so this remains an easy to ID KO. However I am very sure local sellers are smart enough to do the sticker thing so watch out for local G1 Prowls going on Ebay AU and the $150 Prowls with the Parra Fair KOers that stupid people still buy from .
