I missed the Movie Masterpiece Optimus... it just keeps getting pushed back too.
I cancelled my HLJ order because I wanted to get the EBGames release without doubling up, but then EB delayed their release as well, and now the value of the yen is so much weaker that I regret cancelling my HLJ order, as I might not end up getting either.

I was the other way around. I almost cancelled my HLJ preorder to switch to EB, because I got concerned that TakaraTomy could delay a release by so many months. But I didn't make up my mind before EB stopped taking their preorders, so I just kept the HLJ preorder.
It's interesting that the EB release ended up getting delayed as well. The factories have already made the same toy before for the other markets, but they could have switched factories or had some issues with the particular production run for both Japan and Australia. Could also have been logicistics issues with shipping due to the pandemic. Or the factory capacities became very limited so priorities were given to release the more main line toys (WFC, SS86, Legacy) for both Hasbro and TakaraTomy markets...
It will be interesting to see if MPM-12 does get released this month... This is a toy that I was looking forward to the most.
