Default Interview with Brian Goldner - Hasbro exec.

Couldn't remember what position he currently holds at Hasbro, but I think it is the top job at this time, probably thanks to all the money he managed to rake in with the TFs movie last year.
Anyway, as executive producer of the TF movies (means he has final say on anything he wants), and the upcoming GI Joe movie, here is a very short interview for some insight:

I couldn't see any spoilers in it.

Hmmm quite curious though, it mentions the board game monopoly as a movie in the works with universal? How do you make a story out of monopoly, very interesting? MAgic : the gathering I can work out in my head but Monopoly, hmmmm.
I guess when Mr Goldner mentioned that they listened to what characters the fans were clamoring for in the first movie that they gave in now , he meant Soundwave: just not as a tape deck but the character is now squeezed into the story itself. As well as Ravage albeit in a modified Scorponok looking way, which is keeping in theme with the alien movie look.

I think Hasbro (and Goldner) said that because Hasbro didn't contribute to the budget of the first movie, they had no power of veto and merely had a say like any other major player, and the relationship would be similar for the second movie.

A Battleship movie is pretty simple to make into a good film - just make a movie about a modern naval war. Not sure how they'd make a Monopoly movie though. Hrmmm...

I wonder who they would cast as the shoe?
