The blue/red colour scheme was generated about 3-4 years ago, and has been an colour option on the drop-down menu at the bottom left of the board (on a computer screen... probably the same on phones).
The reason why it was never set as default and was just there as an option for those who wanted it, is because it has some flaws - the colours hide text in a couple of places, and takes a lot of fiddling around to fix, to make sure that those changes don't hide text somewhere else. As such it was not intended to be the permanent colours here... but fixing it was not a high priority for a while.
I changed it's status last week because I was tired of seeing screenshots from other people looking all boring with the plain vbulletin generic colours.

Do you have a screenshot of that?
I'm not sure why it would be different based on a different device... the board should still be complete, but in a different colour scheme.

Is Omega Metro referring to the red page with the text 'This news page is currently under re-construction' and the link text 'The OZFORMERS messageboard is usually here'? I see that every time, too.
