Default SDCC this weekend with Transformers back too

With the return of SDCC this year, Hasbro and everyone else to do with Transformers will be back in force, and it all kicks off in just a single days time (July 21st, which is Friday 22nd our time).

Starting on the 21st (America time) is Hasbro's product reveal... so when we wake up Friday morning we might be flooded with a lot of new product (or a little bit of new unleaked product).

    From SDCC's schedule:

    Thursday, July 21 • 1:00pm – 2:00pm, Room 29AB
Hasbro Transformers Product Reveal: The Transformers product team, Ben (Hasbro marketing) and Evan (Hasbro design), take attendees through some all-new Transformers: Legacy toy reveals. They will also discuss all things Transformers and pop culture and answer whatever questions fans have for the team. So, get ready for a panel that’s . . . More Than Meets the Eye.

    Thursday, July 21 • 6:00pm – 7:00pm, Room 9
Animation Story Editors: What Do They Do? Animated TV series pretty much all have story editors. What do they do? Why do they do it? Their duties can range from being the head writer and supervising all of the scripts to sitting in on voice record sessions, approving story boards, and more. What skills do you need? How do you become one? And how do you, as a writer, get story editors to be aware of you and want to hire you to write on their shows. Craig Miller (Pocket Dragon Adventures, Majid) hosts Nicole Dubuc (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Transformers: Rescue Bots), Bob Skir (Extreme Ghostbusters, Transformers: Beast Machines), Patrick Reiger (Unikitty!, Batwheels), Holly Huckins (Rugrats, Hampsters of Hamsterdale), and Chris “Doc” Wyatt ( Marvel’s Spider-Man, Transformers Botbots).
And Hasbro's own press release for SDCC:

Just before midday today Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne time, the first tidbits were coming from SDCC, from their Wednesday night sneak peak before the convention opens up tomorrow.
Some previous years photos were leaked during the set up, but it looks like these were authorised... but so far appears to be exclusive to tfw, as Seibertron is just mirroring the images from tfw, and a regular (BWTF) hasn't posted up anything either.

Since Hasbro never puts out anything new before their reveals panel, all we get to see so far are displays of toys that we already know about or are already out.

(I will have to split this between two posts to be able to include all the links)

First is a display case for the Haslab Victory Saber set.

The Shattered Glass toys - the first wave and three of the second wave, as well as the 2020 GEN Selects 2-pack of Ratchet & Optimus.

The 15th anniversary Studio Series 2007 Autobot movie cast... with a replica Bumblebee Camaro in the exhibit (featuring a Wheelie inside the car).

    The other three displays...

The Legacy display, only showing some of the first two waves, including Metroplex. (not great photos)

GIJoe & Transformers Collaborative Bumblebee (and maybe Megatron is there too, but not in these photos)

A banner display for the Earthspark cartoon, noting that there will be a presentation panel during the weekend, and that the cartoon will be released "Fall 2022", which would be somewhere around September.

    Uh oh.

I've just seen the Earthspark deluxes, and ... I kinda want them! They seem to be a bit of a step up from the Cyberverse deluxes (or at least the first few are, anyway).

Oh, and does anyone remember a rumour from last year about a new helicopter Megatron toy? Well, here it is
