Oh interesting. The Core Class Dinobots might be remoulded into Dinoking. That takes my interest in the moulds up from zero to very interested.

I have a list of all G1 characters that have been released in CHUG form. You can find it here. Please feel free to let me know if I got anything wrong so I can fix it.

Just mirroring some images and info for future reference...
Screenshots from the Pulse video were taken from here.

    What was included...
    - The first wave of Legacy Evolution, for March 2023.
    - Pulse exclusive 2-pack (Orion Pax & Alpha Trion) shown again, for release in November.
    - Shattered Glass Soundwave (using Netflix cassette player mould) with Laserbeak and Ravage, for release in December.
    - Lite-Brite Transformers Edition (I don't think we get Lite-Brite in Australia?), for release in January.
    - Magic The Gathering Transformers pack (15 regular cards plus several Shattered Glass cards).
    - Hall of Fame winners announced.
    - Quick bit about IDW's Last Bot Standing comic.
    - Earthspark computer game mentioned.

    First up, the non-toy stuff...

They had a big set built for this, and these tables were just a small part of it.

The new series poster for Evolution, featuring quite a few different Junkions, and Insecticons, plus Armada Optimus at the top. It should mean that most of these will be released as toys during Evolution, but as we saw with the Kingdom poster, not all of them did get done as toys.

    Hall of Fame inductees:
    - Favourite Animated character - Lugnut.

    - Favourite Legacy toy - Motormaster.

    - Human inductee was Henry Orenstein - someone I had never heard of before, but was said to be a toy inventor and a key person in getting Hasbro and Takara coming together to create the Transformers Brand. The likely reason why he was being inducted was because he died last December.

Some samples of the new Magic The Gathering Transformers cards. I'm a bit confused by this, as Hasbro (WOTC) failed to maintain a Transformers Card Game, and then failed with their licensed Card Game to Renegade Studios, and now they are having yet another go at having Transformers done as Battle Cards. And this time, it looks like they are heavily featuring Shattered Glass, as 14 of the first 30 cards to be shown off are Shattered Glass cards. (regular cards are numbered out of 15, while the Shattered Glass cards are numbered above 15 without a total number being noted on the cards - while Laserbeak had a unique number as well)
During the MTG panel they showed off the rest of the first cards, which can be seen here.
001 - Laserbeak (not part of first 15, but is numbered 001 without a set number)
    001/015 - Prowl
    002/015 - Ratchet
    003/015 - Jetfire
    004/015 - Blitzwing
    005/015 - Starscream
006/015 - Slicer (using Armada Wheeljack colours, or more accurately, the TakaraTomy colours - it seems that the character of Slicer is even more removed from its original form, of being a Decepticon Actionmaster that looked like a blue Wheeljack, which was recently changed to being a Shattered Glass character... and now Hasbro has had to come up with a new version of regular universe Slicer that isn't Wheeljack or the original Actionmaster Slicer - very confusing)
007/015 - Arcee (note - Arcee is the only one in the regular pack of 15 cards that does NOT have a Shattered Glass card)
    008/015 - Blaster
009/015 - Cyclonus (using Kingdom toy)
010/015 - Flamewar (the colour deco looks the same as the Shattered Glass Flamewar, but done by a different artist to look very different)
011/015 - Goldbug (car mode looks more like Bumblebee)
    012/015 - Megatron (tank alt-mode)
    013/015 - Optimus Prime
    014/015 - Soundwave
    015/015 - Ultra Magnus
016 - Prowl (similar colours, just looks evil)
    017 - Ratchet
    018 - Jetfire
019 - Blitzwing (looks like it could be using Broadside's colours)
    020 - Starscream
    021 - Slicer
    022 - Blaster
023 - Cyclonus (using the BotCon toy)
    024 - Flamewar
    025 - Goldbug
    026 - Megatron
    027 - Optimus Prime
    028 - Soundwave
    029 - Megatron (jet alt-mode)
(no 030, because Arcee was skipped)

Outright Games is said to be doing the Earthspark computer game.

At the end of the presentation, there was a transforming CG Tarn. (you get to see more of their big set, built just for PulseCon)

The Legacy Evolution wave 1 toys...

Core Dinobot Sludge (1 of 6) (6 Dinobot form Volcanicus)

Core Dinobot Slug (2 of 6) (6 Dinobots form Volcanicus)

(Slug and Sludge combined to form the torso of Volcanicus)

Core Soundblaster w/ Buzzsaw (redeco Kingdom toy)

    Deluxe Breakdown (final Stunticon)

Note that the packaging was not included with any of Breakdown's pre-order listings, as it may have been originally planned to be released during Legacy, but now that it appears to be part of wave 1 of Evolution, the packaging sample that they had made up for it is probably no longer accurate... but we got a very quick look at what it would have looked like if Breakdown did get released this year. (I didn't get to watch the presentation, so I don't know if this was talked about at all)

Deluxe Scraphook (Junkion Towtruck) It looks like Detritus (redeco Hound) is no longer the only non-motorcycle Junkion, as we also saw on the Evolution banner image that there might be several different "Mad Max" type of Junkion vehicles coming out next year.

Note the "Evo-Fusion" gimmick for Evolution, being a continuation of the COMBAT concept from Siege and Fossilizer from Kingdom... with the Junkion being able to be broken up into a dozen parts that can be used as add-on armour for other toys (a bit like Jetfire in the Revenge of the Fallen Movie).
The Hasbro people in the presentation apparently pointed out that, even though Scraphook can be completely disassembled in both modes, the toy can still transform completely between those two modes without removing and replacing parts (which would upset fans for "cheating" ).

Deluxe Armada Universe Hot Shot (no Jolt) Can homage the original Armada toy having the giant axel-cannon on the top.

Deluxe Needlenose (with Sunbeam & Zigzag)

(it looks like one way of protecting toys and their removable parts without a plastic window is by adding an extra layer of cardboard that only allows a small part of the toy to show)

Voyager Maximal Leo Prime (I think the lion head looks too anorexic)

    Voyager Comic Universe Tarn
For those who don't know, Tarn is a character created in the IDW comics, so has never had a toy from Hasbro before. Quite a few fans here may have heard of Tarn, but I think many haven't read the IDW comics to know who he is, and what he did in the comics.... and since it would take me a long time to go into enough detail to make sense, check out this link at the tfwiki, as it talks about Tarn, who was in the "Decepticon Justice Division" (yes, it does sound like a contradiction, but remember the original bio for Megatron had him believing in peace... just done in a certain cruel way - the DJD is similarly misguided into believing they are doing the right thing, until they finally met up with Megatron).

    And the remaining toys...

Shattered Glass Soundwave with Laserbeak and Ravage (Soundwave uses the Netflix mould, the cassettes use the Siege moulds).
It is up for pre-order on Hasbro Pulse site, for us$63, to be released in December.

The comic cover that will come with the toy, if it is purchased from the Hasbro Pulse site.

The Hero is Born 2-pack shown off again, and now up for pre-order on the Hasbro Pulse site, for us$67, to be released in November.

And one last play-thing for Transformers fans... Lite-Brite.
Lite-Brite is a picture frame covered in black paper that has lights inside, and you punch translucent pegs into the black paper to make a picture that lights up like hundreds of LEDs. (these days you could actually have a picture done up with hundreds of LEDs, but back when this was invented in the 1960s, this was a very cheap way to have that visual effect)
The concept is currently licensed (or owned) by Hasbro, so after all of this time, they have produced a special Transformers set, with three sheets of paper that has images of Optimus, Bumblebee or the Autobot logo, so that you know where to stick the pegs. It also comes with 6,000 different coloured pegs and 45 LEDs, while the frame itself is about 40cm by 40cm.
I don't think Hasbro Australia sells Lite-Brite in Australia, as I couldn't find it on any major retailer site, but it could be found through some independent sites who may have imported it themselves.
This is also listed on the Hasbro Pulse site for pre-order, for us$100, for release in January.

Just noting the Instagram link for that one from Evan Brooks, and the text:

I hope you enjoyed our Pulse Con show and saw some things you can wait to get on your shelves. (Tarn and Lio Prime, right!?)
I wanted to show off the core class dinobots that we will be releasing throughout 2023.
I wanted to try and make a core class combiner since it’s been several years since we last did and thats a feature that I’ve always loved. I think that was the legends scale Abominus for Beast hunters!? Or the retooled version we did for Infernocus…feel free to correct me in the comments. Many robots merging to make a bigger robot is just the best and we have so many in our history that need updates. I guess this was something of an experiment?
When Shu san and I started to work on this, we also were having conversations with Hasui san on how best to implement it. We had talked about one of the bots being DLX class to be the main body while all the limbs are Core. Perhaps this is something we’ll look at doing in the future for other combiners at this scale if you all enjoy these bots. Ultimately, we went with 6 core class bots and perhaps we’ll get some sort of future purposes out of these molds.
Having 2 bots form the chest also gives it some nice dimension.
But anyway, here we have Slug and Sludge who form the torso of Volcanicus! They combine using 5mm ports so you can use all our other weaponizers, fossilizers, modulators and even the new Junkions to build with them!
From the pictures you’ll notice that we had to fuse their arms, removing their elbows for structural support for the combined mode but a few of the other dinobots will have elbows.

Obviously Sludge as well has a bit of Combiner kibble for his thighs but remember: “Thick bots do squats!” And he’s gonna deadlift this Gestalt with those thunderous thighs.
And from his fellow Hasbro designer Mark Maher, talking about Tarn...

All hail Takara Tomy’s Yuya Onishi san! He has knocked this IDW’s comic appearence design originally drawn by Alex Milne straight out of the park! One of my mega priorities when I finally got into designing for the Generations segment of Transformers was to have biweekly meetings with our publishing team and our IDW partners. There’s one thing I love just as much as toys, its comics! As I mentioned at Pulsecon, my big bro @kmcomicsandtoys got me into all the coolest stuff when I was a wee lil lad. So bringing Legacy Evolution Tarn to the Voyager class was high on my to do list!!

Articulation and posability for this guy is off the charts. I even pushed for the fingers to be sculpted as seen in the comic panels because I just thought they looked so evil, unique and different, and just really rad.
The EVO-Fusion capability to not only combine but to customize how you want his 2 ion fusion cannons to be placed is endless! Aaannnddd did I mention no back kibble and no hollow parts

Transformation sequence is not only smooth but is absolutely clever and even utilizes the sequence shown in the comic panels.

Throughout this whole Legacy line you will really notice each Takara Tomy designer’s style and aesthetic. I absolutely love how both Jhiaxus and Tarn have this strong bodied Decepticon presence to them.
The baddies are really gaining some heavy weights in the line but dont you worry, the Autobot heroes have their own squad coming together that will be quite epic indeed.
The Legacy Evolution showdown has just really hit its stride! Pick your team, get ready to have the ultimate once in a lifetime battles, the likes of which you’ve never been able to have before! Make room on your shelves!!

I was originally very excited for Core class Dino's especially with how good the core class has been lately. However they've now been sacrificed for this combined mode which I have no interest in. It's sad but it is what it is. I'll probably keep an eye open for the eventual repaint/remould.

Super excited for Needlenose after so many years of teasing his release. I'm torn on his Targetmasters, I mean, they're no worse than the originals so it's better than nothing, however I don't know why they didn't just reuse Scoops TM's?

Breakdown is what Breakdown is. He's basically exactly what I was expecting, with the slight omission of a remoulded bonnet. It's a shame, however I'm still happy at what Hasbro has managed to give us with the Stunticons.

Tarn is pretty nice. Great poseability so I'm in. I'm not as much a fan of the character and I don't like how the fandom has built him up as "a big bad" but he's cool none the less.

Super excited to not only see the deluxe Insecticons on the poster but Venom! That is very cool and while it doesn't guarantee a figure, it fills me with hope.

The rest of the reveals are a pass for me.

Oddly, what I am super excited for is the oversized Lite-Brite. Those things always looked cool and with the TF templates Woah man, sign me up. Hope someone somewhere stocks them in Aus. Ultimately, hurry up Hasbro and give us our own Pulse site. Even if it's just for unique non-toy items like this and Haslab.

Some more behind-the-scenes of first wave Legacy Evolution toys on instagram - Needlenose and Hotshot.

“Introducing Legacy Evolution Deluxe Needlenose with Target Master Zigzag and Sunbeam! Ittoku Kuwazu from Takara Tomy did a fantastic job on this fan fav!
    .
The articulation on this mold is fantastic! Posing with all the different attachements and combo’s with his target masters is so much fun! Versatility is such a key attribute of this Evolution series, I really can’t wait for everyone to fiddle with this guy in hand. Transformation sequence is so clean, pleasing, and somthing I really really enjoyed!
    .
His Evo-Fusion feature is showcased here with his 2 Target Masters combining and forming a giant thruster. You can open up the feet underneath the engine and there is a unique connection point to attach them. Get your Gen Selects Tricranius blast effects out and really go wild with all the compatibility.
“Takara’s legendary Takashi Kunihiro san worked on this awesome Legacy Evolution Armada Hotshot! What a pleasure it was to work with him on this key character from the Armada universe. This toy is so much fun to play with I had to dive in this weekend!
    .
Let’s dive into some delicious Hotshot deets. As you can see from the photo’s featured here, the “axelzooka” (tire axle that evolves into a bazooka canon) is blast effect compatible and its his EVO-Fusion capability. The articulation and swivel on the bazooka mount gives you such versatility to display him however you want. If you get bold, you can actually poke out the tire axle out of the c-clip construction and attach it to the double barreled engine blaster to make the bazooka a handheld weapon. Achievement unlocked!!
    .
When you collect the Legacy Evolution Voyager Armada Starscream character you’ll be able to act out and play out some great battlescenes between the two. The more important thing is to give Hotshot his ultimate energized star saber weapon!
    .
This sports car is just straight mean looking, I love it. Wide bodied frame, stealthy fast, low to ground, and even a sweet gunmetal type color tone for the wheels to burn some serious rubber. I would definitely put this dude into the turbo revving young punk category! 🤣
    .
Also to note, the transparent tinted goggles stay clear with perfect placement for his optics to see out of when positioned down, but we were able to solid coat the rest with some sweet gunmetal paint!
    .
Shout out to my guy @archermonster_creative for working so hard on the Armada universe all those years ago! I hope this guy gets you amped my dood!!
And somehow, someone has already managed to get their hands on Scraphook, and posted up a video... screenshots can be seen here, as I don't want to financially support toy thieves.

Some more behind-the-scenes from the designers...

    Leo Prime

“Legacy Evolution Voyager Leo Prime needs to be the king of your Legacy collection! Shu Umezu san just absolutely floored me with this absolute masterpiece of a figure. This guy jumped right out the Beast Wars II animated series and I really couldn’t be happier about it.
    .
This guy has all the features you could ever dream of, his Evo-Fusion Lion claw technique is unmatched. He has his Lion Typhoon attack mode with the sweet Lio missiles and blasters that have all sorts of places to flex them. The missiles even have storage in the underside of the beast hide and can actually be used as a jetpack! All the stuff is blast effect compatible, the blasters that plug in on top can remain hidden under the mane inside the awesomely sculpted lion head. He has a flip open panel that reveals his Energon Matrix.
    .
Articulation is out of this world, you even got some awesome range in beast mode!
And Minerva (not part of this wave of reveals, but is now out in America as a Walgreens exclusive.

Its Friday!! Time to play with some toys!! Legacy Deluxe Minerva just jumped through a portal from the Super God Masterforce universe! She’s here to help the Wreckers in there conquest to stop an evil foe! She unfortunately lost her headmaster abilities as she came through the portal, but she does come fully equipped with 2 energon infused rifles and a sweet lightbar for her alt ambulance turbo mode!
Another character that was definitely on my to-do list for a while now, I’m pretty hyped how she turned out. It was a design challenge to make an Elita One that would eventually be redeco’d as a Minerva. But, if that was the only way I was getting this figure, welp, challenge accepted! She was a perfect fit for a exclusive (I think Walgreens but gotta talk to @bmacatron84 , we’ve tried to keep the theming to medics(scientists) started with Titans Return Brainstorm I believe)

This has been the first time I purposely left a blaster in clear with no tint color. Since the ambulance needed the blue windshield and the lightbar needed the red tint, I thought, , why can’t energon be translucent clear, perhaps an energon we’ve never encountered before. I made sure her other rifle blaster resembled its original look and was painted a nice glossy black.

Make sure you get your hands on the medic repair welder that was released with our Target exclusive Red Cog. It will really do wonders for playing out battlescenes where Minerva and Ratchet can help some autobots repair some damaged transistors on the battlefield.

Who will the crazy inter dimensional spacebridge portal spit out next!?!? Isnt this fun!!! What sort of Evolution will happen to our heroes next! Will the energon infused weapons be combined and utilized to vaporize cybertron? Will an evil mastermind use a mega energon infused device to mind control an army to reign supreme!?!?
