As the Americans start getting their copies, and the AUS members have to wait another 3 weeks to join in on the enjoyment of it, here are a few brief details of the current issue.

(spoilers for those who get the Magazine)

-Brian's column covers the next club figure and encourages all to have membership current by March 16th. The better portion of the column rehashes the known BotCon information. He states that the convention figures will be on BotCon.com as soon as they receive the final samples from China. His words are "this year's set is one you will definitely want to add to your collection!"

-Animated Tech Specs this month are for Wheeljack and Laserbeak. Wheeljack's references him working under Perceptor's supervision and his involvement with these two projects - Omega and Safeguard.

-A small article with Bob Prupis, the former Hasbro VP of Boys' Toys Marketing for the Generation 1 toy line. He discusses how it was introduced from Diaclones, which were brought to Hasbro by toy designer Henry Ornstein.

-Bio pages for Transtech Blackarachnia, Topspin (the club figure), and Shatteredverse Whisper. Blackarachnia and Topspin are in allegiance with Alpha Trion (the club comic one). Whisper, though partnered with Sideswipe, is not a Mini-Con but rather a Micromaster.

And now for the best part...

-The club comic starts out with Skyfall, Lanquake, Breakaway, & Topspin in a lair under Alpha Trion's control. Lanquake pressures Alpha Trion into explaining what happened to Skyfall (last issue). Shatteredverse Downshift (the G1 Omnibot) discovers the lair before Alpha Trion cuts him down. Before long a whole load of characters in allegiance with Alpha Trion are introduced. Namely Blackarachnia, along with several from G1 sporting excellent Shatteredverse colors. Sky Lynx is present, Perceptor is in black, Kickback has some interesting colors, and Scattorshot looks to have the colors of normalverse G1 Hun-Grrr. Dirge, in Classics mold, has all yellow color which reminds me of Beast Wars Second Thrust.
I think the Whisper Bio is there because it was (oddly) left out of the set of Biocards for the BotCon 2008 figures.
