If it's a Masterpiece then there's a chance that we'll see one at some point as it would be an all new mould. In fact, it's been alluded to for quite some time. A reissue would be a different story as it's been speculated for a while now as to who actually owns the rights. Also, if the mould has been lost / destroyed as rumoured, reverse engineering a mould from an existing toy can be quite expensive not to mention inaccurate. This was the process used for KO Shockwave and KO Sunstreaker which is why there are certain details of the toys that differ from the originals.

I wanted to ask about reissues as well actually. That's very interesting, I didn't know all this. Thanks for the info!

Isn't it also what he looks like, as well? I thought I'd read that somewhere.

Not necessarily. Hasbro produced a resin prototype for Shockwave in the 6 inch Titanium series which closely resembled his G1 self. Sadly, this was cancelled before making into production because the toys were for the most part poorly executed and not very popular. There would be nothing to stop them from producing an up-scaled version of this toy, with a few tweaks of course, and call it a Masterpiece.

We'll see a MP Shockwave before the end of the year if not sooner

Does anyone know if this "reissue UM" from robot kingdom is legit?

    Ultra Magnus

Not a bad price, and I'd like a Magnus with all the bits and pieces they stay where they are meant to!

Yeah, it's legit. It's being re-released in Asia with a bunch of others. Good luck trying to loose those missiles though

I have another question, but this time it's about the 1984 G1 Jazz toy. From what I've discovered, there was a different version released in 1985, which lacked door stickers with the word "Martinii" and from what Wiki tells me, entirely lacked the "Martinii Porsche" decals for the windshield and rear spoiler. Wiki also tells me that this was an exclusive mail-away version from Cookie Crisp cereal. Also, the one with the missing stickers has an "R" instead of "TM" on the front flap. Here's a comparison pic:

Can anyone confirm this, and if so, does this mean that the mail-away version is rarer/harder to find?

    Thanks!

Pre-rubsign on the left, with rubsign on the right. Pre rub is much cooler

The cookie crisp Jazz came in a clear bag - I think.
